The taco pizza was one of my favorites from back in my teen years living in Iowa. So I drove about 40 miles out of my way to eat here and it was good but the flavors seemed off. The crust however is wonderfully crisp outside but airy on the bite and chew. Would probably try this again but maybe a different location.

Hadn’t had Happy Joe’s buffet in a long time due to cost & lack of pizza on the buffet. No difference now. They rotate sausage, pepperoni, cheese & taco (all burned top or bottom). You’d think with the new pizza flavors advertised they might put them out for customers to try but no. Pastas were empty, too. I asked if they had anything coming out & response was “no, since people were now getting their ice cream.” Yes, because there was nothing else to eat! Since they don’t offer any dessert pizza, we gave up and got ice cream which was flaky and old. Forget this place.

Never had a taco pizza before til now.. the crust was nice and slightly crispy, the toppings were sausage, tomatoes, chopped lettuce, crushed up seasoned tortilla chips, and a good taco sauce you can put on top. The wings were seasoned and fried just right.. there’s a modal train that circles above the main dining room. Wherever the train stops if it stops in a spot where it says free ice cream, free small size pizza, or a free soda you win that prize. But you had to be the one who put the quarter in for the train to run to win. Happy Joe’s pizzeria is a family, friendly environment.. clean restaurant, polite and attentive service’s just overall great experience. When ever I’m back in kewanee I will be back

Ordered an order of cheese sticks to go. Called gave them my number. My name. Came to pick up, didn’t know who I was. Name still under someone else after I’ve had this numer for years. Ordered from here before and “changed my name” to what it is. Still wrong. NOW if you want cheese sticks that taste like the box you got it in. Here you go. On top of almost 18 dollars for the said cheese sticks. Real disappointment. Smh

Sure the food was great but none of the toilets in the bathroom worked. Not one of them would flush and each one was full of bowel movements. I almost lost my pizza going in. when I left I had to use a gas station. For what the pizza costs I dont think it’s beyond reason to ask for working bathrooms. Service was awful and plates were dirty. Please improve facility’s.

Extremely dissatisfied with our experience at this Happy Joe’s today. After attending my grandpa’s funeral, my family and I went to get some food together. We were a group of about fifteen. The owner acted annoyed as soon as we walked in and said only ten could sit at a table. We hadn’t even sat down yet. I asked if it was okay if we say at different tables. He said it was fine but still seemed annoyed. There was not a lot of other customers, in fact when we first got there, there was no one else there. Nevertheless, we all wore our masks except for when we were sitting at the table eating. When we were getting ready to leave, the owner came over and rudely told us that we needed to be wearing masks when we were moving around. For the most part, everyone in our group had been wearing masks when up from the tables. A few members had forgotten to put theirs on at the end, but he should have politely reminded them instead of being extremely rude to my grieving family. From the moment we stepped in, they acted like they didn’t want to serve us. Although we spent over three hundred dollars compared to there being no hardly any other customers, they were rude and annoyed that we were there. If you want to treat paying customers who are not being disruptive like garbage, you should just shut your doors and do carry out only. The food is overpriced and not very good. I won’t be going to this location again. It’s very sad because I used to enjoy coming here.
