So we regret coming here. The service was slow because there was one man trying to bartend and wait all the tables at the same time. He’s hustling and trying but needs a cocktail waitress at the least. The food took so so long and was all over fried frozen stuff. We got a burt soft pretzel and gross rubbery calamari. Probably the wost calamari I ever had. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all, definitely not scooners.

The Food is very good to OK depending on your choices. I waited until I’d been here a good number of times before leaving this review. The service has always been excellent for me and the staff friendly, fun and welcoming. You can always get the sporting event you might be looking for as they have loads of.screens and options. The burgers, salads and daily specials are your.best bets on food and the prices are excellent! Unlike the Antelope Valley Locations, which are identical otherwise, It’s generally not crowded, which I also like…

Our food was delicious!
The Calamari was not the fish sticks kind so that is a plus.
My husband ordered a Blue Cheese Burger, double stacked and loved it, meanwhile I ordered a Caesar Wrap and also found it to be delicious. Our drinks were also good, can’t go wrong with a good marg and beer on tap!

Best part was that my picky son ate pretty much everything we put in front of him- chicken strips, fries and Mac n Cheese, and even shared some with me. <3

The waitress was very kind and kept up with us very well.
Fair prices for the amount we got too!

Food seemed like reheated frozen food. The carne asade fries were so overwhelmed with onions and tomatoes that were also cut to very large size, made it difficult to enjoy the flavor of anything else. Drinks were pretty decent but took almost 20 minutes to recieve.

Unfortunately the establishment has such a high bar set from Schooners being here before them, the atmosphere is nice with the new lights. But the service and food could certainly use an upgrade

Consistently great food and friendly, welcoming service every time we visit Happy Hours. The brisket mac and cheese is a must-try.

11/5/2025 Edit:

The service has improved quite a bit. I would actually give the service 5 stars if food made it out of the kitchen quickly (consistently.) While I have had visits where the food came out piping hot, I also brought out of town visitors to Happy Hour and the food came out lower than room temperature. The bartending staff has gotten quicker and works well together and the quality of drinks have improved. I’m still not a fan of much of the food menu (and I’ve tried quite a bit of it) because much of it is frozen food that is heated up. The dishes I’ve had that are not just fried/heated up frozen foods have been improving and I hope that continues. The fries/onion rings are fine when they come out hot. The pizza leaves something to be desired (the sauce has next to no flavor). The steak would probably be fine for the price if it came out hot, but I haven’t experienced that yet. My wife brought home breakfast burrito leftovers and that’s something I’ll have to try hot and fresh, I was impressed. The frozen/heated up wings aren’t worth it. The sliders are pretty decent. I’m not a fan of the salsa that comes with the chips/salsa but that’s a preference thing. The nachos are passable, I prefer the nachos at the bowling alley (their ingredients are incredibly fresh).

Just a few days ago, my wife brought home some tomato soup, I was told Rich made it from scratch. The tomato soup was top notch and I look forward to more of these type of menu items (it had me scraping the bowl)

As for the atmosphere, I appreciate the effort and time being put into events. It’s one of, if not the best, place to catch a sports game. I hope Happy Hour continues to improve!

Gave them another shot. Came at 5 on a Saturday, wasn’t busy, took 35 minutes to get a beer. I felt like I was an annoyance to the staff. I continually try to give HH another shot because my wife likes to come here, they just continue to disappoint.

Happy Hours has some big shoes to fill, having taken over Schooners old building.

It was fairly empty when we went and yet it took almost twenty minutes just to get our drink orders. All three cocktails were overpriced and very low quality.

We didn’t have silverware and for some reason it was really far away from anywhere that makes sense? Took our poor waitress on quite a journey to go acquire forks.

They were out of beef, fish, nacho cheese, etc etc so half the menu wasn’t an option (that’s fine, they’re new, I get it)

The chicken strips were fine. Fried pickles were not. Rolls were good.

My wife’s fried cauliflower was apparently good but my boneless wings were anything but. They were somehow mushy and the carrots/celery that came with them had obviously been cut long, long ago.

Our waitress was extremely friendly and nice so this is no reflection on her… Everything took forever. Which, they were well staffed for how few people were there. So that speaks to organization and planning, which again, they’re new. So I get it.

The atmosphere/aesthetic is just… Lacking. Which, again, they’re new, but in a building that used to be very lively and cozy feeling, the all grey modernist minimalist feel was stark. They may have plans to add some more decor to liven up the place, I don’t know.

We will be back to try again but this first experience was very disappointing. And the prices are high for what you get… This is Ridgecrest, not LA County. And you took over the king of value location, Schooners gave heaping, quality portions for a reasonable price.

I just hosted an after-work social event at Happy Hours Bar & Grill and the pre-coordination and dine-in service was absolutely phenomenal. Despite only being open a couple weeks, they were successfully able to host our party of 30 people with only one weeks notice. On the day of the event the service from the staff was excellent and the food and drinks all came out timely and as ordered. It was a consistent consensus with the group that the food/drinks are excellent and we appreciated that the menu wasn’t overly extensive. I will definitely be coming back and will plan future events at this bar and grill!
