I absolutely loved the vibe here—I’m a hippie at heart, so the atmosphere instantly felt like my kind of place. The food was fresh, plant‑based, and genuinely delicious. It’s the kind of meal that tastes indulgent but leaves you feeling good afterward, not guilty.

The only downside for me is that some items felt a bit overpriced. That said, the quality is definitely there, and the experience overall was worth it.

I highly recommend giving this place a try if you enjoy fresh, mindful, feel‑good food served in a warm, eclectic space.

While this may be the most disappointing before and after photo you’ll see today, it’s definitely not because of the before!

Their salad bar is an absolute delight. Tons of options, all fresh and lovely, and the only thing I can still think about eating on the same day I have to do a nerve wracking public speaking event and my stomach decides to drop into fight or flight.

Again bowls? Heavenly.

Lattes? Perfection.

This cold matcha latte? Divine.

Have I had their soups yet? No, but you better bet that’s the next thing I’ll purchase now that it is spooky season.

Friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere, no notes

Very cool smoothie & smoothie bowl shop. I tried some of their baked goods which were delish. Gluten free and vegan options yummmmm. There’s also some light bites like sandwiches and burritos. Lots to choose from. Quick overnight in this city but will definitely be back if I make it out here again.

I’ve walked by this place many times and I’m glad that I finally decided to go in! I love eating it places where I can be self-sufficient. I 100% enjoyed making my salad. Apparently, they change their salad bar daily! The salad options that they carried while we were here was “Chef Salad”. OMG! The avocado toast was phenomenal!!!

The ladies that work here are very patient!
I really appreciated that they had a lot of non-dairy options due to me being allergic that was very, very convenient.

I love the scenery, I love the vibe, I love the energy! Definitely will be coming back here and enjoying another meal!

I have so much to say about this place. I absolutely adore Happy Hippie! From the food to the service to the peaceful, welcoming atmosphere, everything about this business is amazing. Happy Hippie is hands down one of the things I miss most about living in Manhattan. It’s the perfect spot for a healthy breakfast, lunch, or snack.

As someone with a gluten allergy, I’m always cautious about eating out, but Happy Hippie never disappoints. They offer a wide variety of gluten-free options that are both nutritious and delicious. I always feel safe eating here, and that peace of mind is priceless. They also have many dairy-free and vegan options. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about ingredients and dietary restrictions and they’re always happy to answer questions and make sure you feel taken care of.

My go-to is the PB & J açaí bowl. I also love the Erin Emerald’s Envy smoothie, and I’m a die-hard fan of their housemade granola. I buy it every time I visit. They also have herbal teas and kombucha on tap! All of the other bowls, smoothies, and food items I’ve tried over the years have always been consistently fresh and flavorful. A lot of care and effort is put into their food items.

The atmosphere is also very cozy and welcoming. It’s a great place if you need to study, read a book, or catch up with friends.

I don’t live in MHK anymore, but Happy Hippie is always at the top of my list whenever I’m back in town.

I finally tried Happy Hippie and it did not disappoint! I have celiacs disease and am gluten free, and had no idea they had so many delicious options!

They have GF breakfast wraps (which are also made with dairy free cheese.) I think all or most of their acai bowls are GF! The oats they use are certified gluten free. House made granola is GF. They can sub GF bread on sandwiches! And even have GF pumpkin muffins and protein balls. I can’t believe it was my first time trying! I plan to go back ALOT!

Pictured is the GF/Dairy free breakfast wrap, and one of their June special acai bowls- “Aloha Bowl”.

The restaurant itself is super cozy and welcoming and has such a relaxing and welcoming vibe. Highly recommend, especially if you’re gluten free!

Cute and cozy place to grab a healthy lunch or snack. White chicken chili, soup of the day, was delicious!! Hot, fresh and just the right amount of kick. The PowerCat Açaí bowl was bursting with freshness and berry goodness.

The music and the atmosphere make it a great spot to hang out for a bit, and if you spend some mindful moments you can notice little notes in the wall and all the pretty plants too.

Erin & her team set the bar high for food and service quality. I make frequent business trips to Manhattan and use Happy Hippie for catering events & personal meals. Happy Hippie puts a special touch on each catering event that no other caterer does. Their customer service and intentionality shows through in everything they do – from the food to the attention to detail to any request I’ve had. Happy Hippie has a bright future. Fingers crossed they get a location closer to me in KC sometime in the future!
