Great food, the veggies are all fresh, the spicyness of the kung pao shrimp is just right, the orange chicken is sweet, the soup is also great, not too sour just great. The staff is also nice, fast serving, the restaurant is comfortable.

I often saw Happy Garden when I searched for Chinese food in Elk Grove. Finally, I decided to try it on my lunch. They have an excellent lunch special menu.
The restaurant has a parking lot shared for their customers and another business. I had no problem getting a parking space when I was there.
Happy Garden has a classic look entrance and a traditional dining room. It is comfortable with the excellent customer service.
I ordered the orange chicken with fried rice lunch special. The price is very reasonable, and the portion is generous. However, the chicken is too dry, and the sauce is too sweet for me! But I’ll come back to try something else next time because of the attentive customer service.

They need to update their menu prices because it’s being falsely advertised. I spent way more than expected on mediocre food. When I called I was given a different price and when I arrived to pick it up they changed it. The food tasted bland and watery and I was given WAY more rice then the actual entree, I will not be returning.

Awful time management. I ordered a soup and a side of steamed rice. I was told to wait 20 minutes. I waited 30 minutes. I had to flag someone down and ask them to check on my order two times, only to be told they barely entered the order to be made. Of course they tell me this right after I’ve paid. I had to wait another 20 minutes to get my food.

The general chicken was cooked to long as it was dry and rubbery. The flavor is not the same. The brocolli beef was not good either. I assume the cook has changed because the quality went down.
