I had the General Tso Tofu. The sauce was amazing and the tofu was cooked to perfection. If you ever have the chance to eat here, do it!

I’m very picky about my oriental food & I only get Chinese takeout from CHINA FEAST on Linwood; BUT… HAPPY DRAGON IS MY NEW FAVORITE! The food is VERY HOT; FRESH & SEASONED! They follow instructions & have not failed to deliver once!
The prices are definitely affordable & the portions are great!
THIS PLACE IS THE BEST CHINESE IN KCMO HANDS DOWN!

We ate lunch at 1 pm. There was a nice selection of fresh hot food. We were seated and had our drinks quickly. This is our second time and I came back specifically for the Sesame balls. I’m sad to say they were out already but would be getting more in Friday. A great place to eat.

Saw an ad on FB and wanted to give it a try. We were not disappointed!
The staff was all very friendly and informative about the hot pot. My wife and I ate a ton of food!
Everything we had was good and it was a great date. We tried a little of everything, so I won’t go into detail.
The spicy broth was very spicy but delicious. The mushroom broth had great flavor!
Overall, a great time and love supporting a business with staff as kind as this.

The food was quite good and a reasonable price. The buffet is only during lunch. This place has in restaurant dining, but you can tell it is more of a take out place. Lots of delivery drivers stopping by to pick up to go orders.

My family has been going to this place for almost ten years now. The building has changed over that time, and so have their offerings, but they are consistently a B+ Chinese dine-in option. I don’t do take-out, so I assume the same but a little worse.
What prompted me to finally write a review is their latest offering. They have a new dessert item, sweet flavored rangoons. I’ve never been a big rangoon fan during the savory portion of the meal, but these are a scrumptious alternative to fortune cookies.
Do yourself a favor and stop in to try these sweet rangoons hot and fresh. We liked all four varieties for different reasons.
Also don’t sleep on their tofu. The country style and general tso are both delicious and crispy.

Yeah! They finally have the buffet open up again, which seems to be the same size menu of previous times. However, the restaurant is now half the size. They are cooking less food at a time for less waste but also for food freshness. It was easy to ask if a dish you wanted was running low. Don’t forget to taste the fresh donuts!

This’ll become our regular weekend place! Their tomato broth is very good, get it as one of your soup base.
I’m very surprised the restaurant isn’t busier, they’re very attentive with good services, food is delicious and the price dropped to $29.99 a person for ayce hotpot. They have a sauce bar that’s kept very clean.
Group of 4 or us were there for 2hrs and the entire time we received good services.

I saw a post last weekend that said Happy Dragon (south KC, near Jasper’s) is now offering all you can eat hotpot on Saturday and Sundays and I knew I had to try it. It was great! You get to choose two broths and then they bring you cuts of meat (you can get pork belly, brisket, chicken, and lamb) and there is a full buffet to pick other veggies to add. We got the green chili broth and the Szechuan pepper. The Szechuan was so flavorful! I also made a delicious peanut dipping sauce for the meat.
I plan on going on New Year’s Eve if they are open. I highly recommend!
The price was $33 a person. There is seafood available on the bar and all the veggies and meats seemed like great quality. If you go hungry you will get your money’s worth while supporting a small business
