I’ve been coming here for years. The owners are super friendly and if you are a regular they will remember you and always have a smile on their face when you come in. The food is great and fairly priced. I have seen this place go through renovations and it has come a long way. They put a lot of love, care and hard work into this place. I hope this shop the best!

never opens when they say they are. says 7AM so i get there then . they arrive late and put a sign saying a hour later. not one day. everyday. if this is going to be everyday change your info online. i seen multiple cars drive off after waiting…. 2 months later. still never opens on time people are waiting outside asking why they aren’t open when the sign says other wise.

I ordered a simple croissant with just ham, avocado, and lettuce—nothing complicated, just a personal preference. Unfortunately, the man taking my order was extremely rude and unaccommodating. Instead of listening, he kept referring me back to the menu, insisting that their croissant “comes with egg and cheese like McDonald’s,” which I clearly said I did not want.
He was dismissive, repeatedly pointing at the menu rather than addressing my request respectfully. I’ve liked this place in the past, but I’ve also seen this same person be rude to other customers. Strangely, he was polite and even offered free items to the people who ordered after me.
It’s disappointing to be treated poorly just for requesting a simple modification. If your order doesn’t match the menu exactly, don’t expect any flexibility or kindness here. Lesson learned—I won’t be coming back.

Breakfast bagels are so good! And they have specialty donuts one of my favorites is the PB&J donut. Coffee is good. Service is good all around.

for a restaurant called happy bagels and donuts, the man at the front counter did not seem very happy. he took everyone’s orders with an annoyed tone and no positive vibes.
the bagels themselves were pretty good, slightly overdone but the flavor was great. we also got a thai tea which was delicious.
overall, would recommend the staff to get a better attitude to match the vibes of their food and shop!

One of the best little bagel shops ever and it’s local. They have everything from donuts to breakfast sandwiches, and even Viatnamese style sandwiches! And they’re really good too! The 2 ladies who are there in the morning are always super sweet and they always toss a few donut holes in my sandwich bag which is like the icing on the cake.

Very cute little bakery/donut shop in Downey. I went for the banh mi out of curiosity. They included donut holes in my order for the wait (not necessary, but so thoughtful of them!)
The banh mi was pretty great and I definitely want to come back to try their other items! I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the mood for donuts or a sandwich!

I’ve been here twice now. The first time I came in there was a long wait (which is completely understandable for a Saturday morning) but I got my food in a reasonable time. They did however forget to add the donut that I paid for which was frustrating and I also had to wait an additional 10 minutes to get a receipt. I ordered an avocado toast bagel with lox and it was tasty, albeit high priced.
I wanted to give this place another try and this time I brought a friend. I ordered a bagel with smoked salmon and paid $9.50 for it but when I finally got a chance to eat my bagel at home there was no smoked salmon. Normally I wouldn’t bother leaving a review for what might have been an honest mistake. But this is the second time now that my order has been incorrect and I’ve been shortchanged. Again, I had to ask for a receipt. After this experience, I feel less inclined to recommend friends/family as I’m concerned that they won’t get what they order.
Please pay better attention to your orders to ensure customers are getting what they paid for. Especially if they’re spending almost $40 for breakfast.

I understand that some people may be out to bring down small businesses by leaving dishonest reviews and I’m sorry if this has happened to your business in the past. However, I personally don’t make an effort to go out of my way to lie about missing something that I ordered. It’s not worth my time. I initially left a review as I felt like there was an opportunity for future customers to have a better experience. For all of those interested in watching the recording, please feel free. I know that I received 1 sandwich with salmon and 1 without.
The reason there was no problem when handing over my food was because I didn’t open up the sandwiches right there at the counter to see if my salmon was there or not. Like any other customer who orders take out, I took my food with me to enjoy at my intended destination.
Regarding the statement about waiting 10 minutes for my receipt, when I received my food the first time I came to the store, I asked the person who handed me my food (I believe they were wearing a hat) for a receipt. They said they would ask the cashier for a print out. I waited at one of the tables for the receipt but didn’t get one. I then had to wait in line and ask the cashier for a receipt.
The food at this business is very tasty, I won’t deny that and the other reviews can attest to that as well. I simply wanted to provide some feedback about my experience that I believed other customers could benefit from.
