Really great place. Run by a Korean owner. Combo Chinese, Japanese Korean food. Kalbi is made perfectly with a nice char. Kimchi was authentic and really good. Orange chicken was tasty as well. The place is immaculately clean. Also excited that they have boba tea but didn’t try it yet.

I do not know about the atmosphere as I did not pick up the order. We had four in our party and we all really liked the food. There was enough for three of us to have leftovers. Two ordered chicken teriyaki, and two of us split an orange chicken and General Tso chicken. The food was moist and delicious, the personnel there were friendly and helpful.

Happy at the Bay still has the best teriyaki, not only in Gig harbor but in the Kitsap and Pierce County area! We continue to drive from Port Orchard to this restaurant as the quality of their food and the portions they provide are more than other restaurants provide. I love that I get to order my fried rice without any vegetables, and it is custom-made for me. Please keep up the great work and awesome food!

Really exceptional service, the owner was so sweet and helpful. The spicy ramen w gyoza was well seasoned and had tons of veggies which is always a plus. The warm soup was the perfect balm after a long day. The spicy chicken teriyaki w rice and salad was enough for two meals honestly, the chicken was tender and flavorful. I would recommend this true mom and pop joint to anyone looking for a casual and homey meal.

Served with rice and a side salad. The salad dressing was tasty and not too heavy. The Chicken Teriyaki was a generous portion. The chicken strip in Teriyaki sauce was delicious. And enough Teriyaki sauce left over to dip the steamed into.
The price was great for the amount of food and soft drink. I recommend Happy at the Bay Teriyaki!

I’ve been coming here for years! The food is amazing, as well as the service. Since moving, this is my go to every time I am in town. Came in today with my dog and they were extremely kind and accommodating. They brought everything out to us and even gave the dog a bowl of water and his own chicken to eat 🙂
