THE MOST DELICIOUS JAPANESE + HAWAIIAN FOOD FUSION
Hapa is derived from the Hawaiian term that describes a harmonious blend of Asian & American cultures.
Thus, our menu is based on traditional Japanese cooking fundamentals which are then amplified, muted, or mixed with influences from many different styles of cooking until they are something completely new: they’re Hapa
Modern sushi spot with imaginative takes on Japanese fare, including creatively named rolls.

This place is freaking delicious! I 100% recommend and here’s why:
While our server was super kind and absolutely adorable, we noticed it took us significantly longer to get our drinks and food than the tables surrounding us. Buuut when the food finally arrived, we were all amazed and found we 100% didn’t mind the wait!
Multiple orgasm roll: 10/10 (I find myself dreaming about this one!)
Aspen roll: 10/10 (it was delicate and flavorful, by far one of my top favorites!)
Caterpillar roll: 8/10 (if you like strawberries this is a must try! I’m not usually a fan of the savory/sweet mix but this one had me reevaluating my opinion.)
Hapa roll: 8/10 (compared to the other flavors we had, this one felt underwhelming but it’s such a staple to order because you can always gauge a place by its simpler rolls. And I can tell you, it didn’t disappoint. It was fresh and the kick on the back end was perfect!)
My friend who had the G-Spot would give it a 10/10. My personal preference would say 8/10. I wanted more of the raspberry flavor to pop through.
My sister had the Soju Blossom and she recommends 10/10! I enjoyed that it wasn’t overly sweet but I felt like something was missing so I’d say 8/10 for this one too!
I ordered a liquid crystal but looking over the menu, I don’t think that’s what I got. I remember the one I drank had egg whites in it when I asked sooo now I’m not sure what I had…so I feel like rating it would be unfair.

Great Place on our first dinner stop n Denver. Lots of Room and loved the layout. The food was fantastic, great size cuts of sashimi and lots of rolls to choose from. We had a party of 6, and made a reservation. Our server Cody was the best! The check out was super easy as we could split the bill of our party through a QR code checkout.

My husband and I came to Hapa downtown for the first time and it was more than disappointing. We ordered the Orgasm roll, Hapa roll, Salmon skin roll and a special roll called Funtimes. The Orgasm roll was barely covered in special sauce and was half cold, did not taste good at all. The Hapa roll has filler and not my favorite. The salmon skin and special roll were good. The service was terrible, we couldn’t even order a drink before ordering food and we ordered an appetizer and all the food came out at the same time. It felt like we were being rushed out but the server was MIA our entire meal. I had to flag other servers down every time I needed something. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I will not be going back!

Loved this place! I first came at closing to just check the menu and David greeted me at the host stand. He was such a pleasure to speak with and recommended I come back on Friday to end off my Denver trip because the restaurant had a live DJ with a better weekend atmosphere. I loved that recommendation so of course I came back with my friends 5 days later and had an amazing meal.

My husband and I had a lovely lunch meal. The sushi plates were beautifully presentable and the rolls we ordered were delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. We sat at the sushi bar and got the full experience watching Chef Hector prepare our rolls. Didn’t disappoint. Our price range was 20-30 without drinks.

Our first stop while visiting Denver was to Hapa Sushi Grill and Sake Bar. We walked over from our hotel and got there around an hour before closing. Seated right away upstairs and service was good. We ordered the Teriyaki Chicken along with 3 rolls: Vegetable Caterpillar Roll, Vegetable Dragon Roll and the Sunset Veggie Roll. Everything tasted great, came out quickly and the prices were good.

First off this place is a must for anyone celiac/gluten free. The precautions they take to ensure safety is above and beyond anything I’ve ever seen. Also the food is amazing.
Secondly ask for Tommy as your server. He is by far the most enthusiastic, knowledgable, passionate, and real not only server, but human I’ve ever met. Dude gets 5 stars by himself. Can’t recommend enough.
