I’m EXTREMELY picky with food. I ate every bite. This is one of the most delicious meals I have had in a long time. It takes a bit of time to get but it is WELL worth it. Try it during the day as night time it is BUSY because it’s one of the only good late night spots with food open. Warning: snow cone is HUGE but also amazing. I don’t even care for them but these are something special. 10/10

Little hole in the wall on the beach. No indoor seating which isn’t a problem. We got one of the steak bowls and the steak and chicken fries.

The fries were very crispy and had a huge portion of meat. So much meat!!

The bowl had a large amount of steak as well with jasmine rice that was cooked perfectly.

Would highly recommend.

They also serve burgers that looked good. Didn’t try those though

Based only on the burger and fries. A little pricey. Big burger. Didn’t think the patties are seasoned. And if they are, I couldn’t tell. Think they use a lot of the sauce to do the heavy lifting. Other ingredients seem fresh enough. Personally, I do not like a burger that falls apart when you eat it. I know it’s a social media trend to have a messy burger, just not for me. Get lots of napkins. Fries were really good, but you don’t get much in my opinion. Wouldn’t go back for the burger, but probably would to try something else. Little seating area right next to sidewalk and alley. Gets a little uncomfortable. If solo or with another person might be fine. If you’re with your family, take it to go. Did not feel the aloha spirit. Person definitely did not want to be there.

Honestly the best burger place I’ve come across in San Diego. Kiera & Memo were super nice, the vibes and music and atmosphere is perfect. Above all the burger was incredible

I walk by here all the time and I finally stopped. I was already planning my next visit before I even finished my food. The burgers are mouthwatering with a nice crisp on the smashed burger, oozing with cheese, and a good bread to burger to toppings ratio. The double Shaka fries were stellar too, with the sweet/spicy sauces mixing well with the seasoned, thick cut fries. I will definitely be back!

Foods great. But more importantly:

Is it possible to provide exceptional service through two windows at a “stand style” restaurant?

Let haole shack show you how. ❤️

Ecellent burger, big and juicy with a great house sauce and good quality cheese! Really nice people too! I highly recommend this place.

Food was fast and the meat was not pink. Just too sloppy of a burger, too much sauce, too much onion.

Fries were great

This shack is walk-up, right on the sidewalk just steps from the beach at the Pacific Beach lifeguard station. I got The Big Haole which was three burgers . . . quite filling and worth the price given the convenience, didn’t feel like driving to In-N-Out like I’ve been doing last few days. Watching others order ice cream and shaved ice, sizes look decent. This is the type of place you expect to find at the beach. Good, but I doubt I’ll come back, too many other places to try!
