Everything looks so good here. That’s the real disappointment. The bowls arrive dressed up like they’re headed to Fashion Week, colors popping, noodles posed, steam rising dramatically like it rehearsed in the mirror. Then you take a bite… and nothing. Not subtle. Not delicate. Nothing. Like flavor packed its bags, left a note, and said, “I’m done with this kitchen. Don’t wait up.”
I wanted to love this place. I really did. I leaned in. I chewed thoughtfully. I searched for depth. I found air. Somewhere between the garnish and the broth, taste just vanished. It’s culinary catfishinge. Looks amazing online, zero personality in real life.
Two stars because the food photographs beautifully and won’t actively offend you. But if you’re hungry for soul, spice, or anything resembling a pulse, yeah, no. This is an Instagram trendy restaurant. Get a cocktail and forget the food.
The food was phenomenal, clean flavors and served hot. And the three waiters working the front of the restaurant were quick and friendly. 10/10 highly recommend.
Because it’s a tourist spot there was a lot of unreserved guests making it difficult to get in and out.
Also we had to wait for awhile inspite of having reservation.
And their winter specials weren’t available.
All the above said, the staff did their best to accommodate the unexpected turnout and I appreciate their patience.
Food and Service was good.
Only minus was that main dishes were not served to all of us at the same time and the first had already eaten when last got the dish.
I tried the noodles from Chef Hao, but the taste was only average. The soup has a strong herbal flavor, the meat is quite tender, but overall, the taste falls flat.
The service was a bit slow in bringing out the food. The cost is reasonable. The hospitality is decent, and the spot is quite convenient. Nonetheless, it doesn’t make up for their food.
We are disappointed with the the cocktails. They look pretty, but have no flavor. They taste more like detox water.
The service is alright and the location is very convenient. However, it doesn’t compensate for their food.
