This isn’t your regular deli — the new owners are serving up delicious Korean-inspired food that’s worth a try. I had the tuna kimbap and it was fresh, flavorful, and really satisfying. Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the mood for something different.

Don’t listen to the fake reviews by obvious fake accounts I’m going to give you the real deal I have lived on Long Island for 30 years.

I really want to rate this place higher because the person who works there is very nice she is an extremely customer center of person and even offered me a free snack when I went in. I’m not even sure if this is her fault or not however I cannot recommend this place at all because the food is just not good. Extremely thin chicken cutlets with zero flavor to the sandwiches. Do you notice that they have refused mentioning the chicken cutlets that’s because so many people complained about these they are epically bad gamey pieces of meat that are poorly breaded. I also got a wrap that just tasted like it was a day old is not what you are expecting when you go to a deli and you are expecting thick cutlets that are breaded perfectly. It really does look like they use shake and bake on their cutlets to save money. Wraps drenched in sauce making them unedible. Shrimp thats tastes a day old. Seems like a money laundering operation to me because I don’t think the owners really care about making good food or having customers want to come back however the person who works there is really nice and she deserves five stars i just wish the quality of food was better at this place because it is so incredibly bad. Oh and then they have the nerve to charge you $30 for two sandwiches which is also kind of ridiculous like I get you want to raise the prices with everyone else but the quality of food just isn’t there, it should be half that. But seriously just go to any grocery store Deli and you will get better food.

I will never understand why a store raises prices and yet still has low quality food the lettuce tasted a day old Tomatoes had no flavor and the chicken was extremely thin breaded with like Walmart bread crumbs. Like why would they sell the initial place to whoever owns it now it’s quite evident that they do not care about the quality of food yet they’re still charging customers as if this is a premium Deli. Then they have the nerve to leave a bunch of fake reviews on here like come on.

I came across this deli when I was getting my hair cut next door. What drew my attention was the kimbap and the tteokbokki they make. The nice lady makes them fresh every day. I have gotten tteokbokki plenty of times before in restaurants but this one tasted so flavorful and the tteok was the perfect consistency! The kimbap is my favorite and it’s already my second time coming! Highly recommend. 너무 너무 맛있어요!!

I’ve been going to Handsteds for years. The new version is a regular deli with Korean dishes. The food is good and I eat there every day. Prices are very reasonable

Disappointed to find no German staff in what’s billed as a German deli. Not because that’s required, but the food didn’t even meet German standards. The schnitzel was overly greasy, with oil that tasted old. I felt sick shortly after. Not what I expected from a place with this name and reputation.

I had googled Jewish Delis near me, something I do often for any type of reataurant…. Halsted popped up and I had never heard of it…. so I went… Pulled in and signs on the front said Sushi…. Definitely not Jewish anymore… no food, barely stocked so see ya later..

I have been getting my haircut there since May and have always seen this little deli in the corner. It wasn’t until my girlfriend mentioned it to me that we both decided to try this place. We haven’t regretted it since. They are super friendly and always welcome you with a smile. Their kimbap and tteokbokki are delicious as well. Easily one of the best, if not the best, I have ever had. Definitely recommend this place.

Clean deli. Excellent that they don’t skimp on the bacon in a breakfast sandwich. Homemade chocolate chip cookies are good. Service is good. Nice family. Buffalo chicken cutlet is hot and spicy. Grilled chicken ceaser pasta is good. Prices are high but food is really good.

Food is overpriced, especially for presided deli meat. $16 for a ham hero with nothing on it. There are literally no prices anywhere…no menu…no way to tell you are getting taken advantage of.
