Cozy Vietnamese cusine on the lower east side. We stopped by for lunch and it was quite busy. Luckily we had placed a reservation so we didnt have to wait long. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, perfect blend of casual and intimate. We ordered the spicy garlic cauliflower as an appetizer, and for main dish we got vegetarian Banh Mi and Pho. The cauliflower was very good, the spicy seasoning and oil was very flavorful. The Banh Mi was crunchy and delicious, the fried tofu was well seasoned. The Pho broth definitely hit the spot on a cold day. Service was great and pricing was reasonable and fair.

Friend and I dined in during happy hour. We got in without reservations on Friday night. The happy hour specials had the cocktails discounted more steeply than any of the food items. Place was not too busy and there were lots of kids around. It’s a pretty narrow space though so I wouldn’t say it is very accessible. We had to take our coats off the coat hooks so that they didn’t bother the group sitting next to us.

The portions are on the smaller side and I saw that group sitting next to us just ordered an entire second order of pho.

The food was amazing though and I was tempted to do that myself. I had never had pho with the condiments like pickled garlic, this particular chili sauce which I ordered seconds of, and a ginger condiment which was also great.

That being said I don’t think it really needed any more flavor as the veggie broth was so aromatic. One of my favorite vegetarian phos ever. Would just prefer more tofu.

Food came out super fast and everything was cooked well.

I stopped by here on a chilly night and the pho was perfect for the weather. It was savory and spicy and had a great flavor. I got the Classic Hanoi Style Pho with Filet Mignon and Brisket, and I would get it again! The service and great and the ambience was perfect. The lighting and soft music was great for dinner. The prices were very reasonable and I would definitely come back again.

This is a busy and lovely restaurant in the East Village. We attempted it without reservation on a Saturday afternoon and we had a 30 minute wait. The host was lovely and found us a table inside as soon as he could. The clams and summer rolls were delicious, the pho was ok. Service was sparse I guess it was a busy day but aside from taking our orders we didn’t get much service and had to fight for attention to get our bill.
It was good but I have another Vietnamese restaurant in town with better food and service, so not likely to return.

The pho portion is really small. Smallest I’ve ever had, and I got the pho ga/chicken pho. The flavors are so mild and muted, very flavorless. No herbs, not at all authentic. The chicken is not grilled chicken, it’s boiled and just very bland. This is definitely not for the Asian palate. The good thing about this is they the noodles are a nice texture, which is why I’m giving it 2 stars.

Really liked the summer rolls and spring rolls.
Pho is probably a 3/5
The pho broth and noodle texture were good- also appreciated the smoky spicy sauce and garlic on the side
but the oxtail was odd- it was basically like head cheese (a gelatinous meat product with an assortment of meat pieces bone and fat) which made it feel like a cheaper bowl of pho. The bone marrow didn’t add much to the dish- more for visuals, since the broth was already pretty oily after the head cheese dissolves. Honestly it was a little nauseating to eat it because agree it just tasted like fat and oil. This dish was definitely overpriced for the quality.

I had the pleasure of dining at Hanoi House on for dinner on March 5th. I had been a few times before, but this was my first time as a solo dinner. My experience was incredible, and probably the single most satisfying meal I have eaten in New York since I moved here 8 months ago.

The standout moments for me where the staff, particularly the host. She was funny, efficient, accommodating, and seemingly omnipresent. She was handling to-go orders, seating multiple large parties, and even took my order when the sever was with the large parties. The sever and busser were also nice and I enjoyed a friendly chat with one them.

The pho and the tea were delicious and so satisfying. I felt like all the stress in the world was melting away with each sip, I felt like a different person at the end of my meal.

The atmosphere was very relaxing. The warm soft lighting and the reggae music were exactly the energy I needed after a long cold day in the city.

There’s just something magical about how a little bit kindness and really good food can create such impactful and uplifting experience. Thank you so much for having me.

This place has astounding pho with an intriguing selection of meats (that convinced me to try all of them). I ordered the House Special Pho + tendons and it was honestly one of the best soups I’ve ever had.

The waitress we had was also very kind and friendly, and while the seating in doors can be a little cramped, it’s nicely decorated and the music delivers a sophisticated vibe. Also my group had a reservation so it’s probably safer to reserve.

I’ve come a long way from where I live to try the Pho here and was sad to be disappointed. I was born and raised in Hanoi, so I can say with absolute certainty that this is not authentic, from the noodles to the broth. It doesn’t taste very good either, and with the small portion it’s really not worth the high price. I haven’t tried other dishes so cannot say anything about them.

Delicious appetizers and pho. The broth is very flavorful and fatty, but depending on which pho you choose, it can get pricey. The bone marrow could be better. It lacked actual flavor – I only tasted fat and oil. The open kitchen area is cool.
