When my husband and myself still working ! Hanoi is our choice every Friday for dinner! We both love sizzling veg/beef with rice! Few times we invited family to try that dish and they enjoyed it. Unfortunately, last 2- times we ordered it! We noticed the taste was not like before! The worse one was Feb 17,2026 we have family visiting! We decided to take them to try Vietnamese food! We ordered sizzling beef and they ordered sizzling chicken! We noticed that no sauce ,very dry, and no much taste, very bland! I used to put the sauce on rice and love it! Now, put on rice and nothing! Just grab the bottle on the table and used the sauce which I think hoisin sauce! Please try not to changes it!Sauce makes big difference in taste! I’m sorry to write a comment ! Just want to let you know how we feel! We still believe Hanoi is a good restaurant!

We ordered for the Pho, our usual doesn’t have delivery and we didn’t feel like driving, my husband said the Pho was amazing and he prefers Hanoi 36. We also ordered the Fried Chicken on a whim and WOW! Words cannot express how delicious it was! We savoured every bite, and we both agree it’s the best fried chicken we’ve ever had, so juicy yet so crispy. We will definitely be ordering again, but at least 2 orders next time!

We enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant but our meal was just ok. We ordered the stir fry with rice noodles and the sizzling plate with rice. One with beef and one with chicken. One dish $24 and one at $25 definitely on the higher side but portions are on the bigger side so plenty for 2 to share. We found both dishes to be rather bland. One dish came with a tiny plate of chili oil so we asked for extra which they did bring another tiny plate of it. When we asked for another the waiter said they don’t have anymore. Don’t appreciate being lied too. If they don’t want to provide that’s fine we would have paid extra for it but considering the price of the dishes it should have been included. First Vietnamese restaurant I’ve ever been to that guards chili oil like that! They do have siracha available at the table but neither of us like the flavour of it. I recommend you add chili oil jars to your tables like every other Vietnamese restaurants.

Passing through Salmon Arm for one night and was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Our group of 12 was quickly seated and served. I don’t know how the young lady remembered all our orders without writing anything down?! The sautéed beef pho was clean and delicious.

A real gem in this small town and a wonderful surprise to be able to taste such authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Owner’s family is originally from Vancouver and this is better than quite a few Vietnamese restaurants there in my opinion. Best way to tell is to check the broth of the beef pho and having tasting this, you know this is the real stuff, not made from some instant powder.

It’s hard to find authentic places like this gem in a small town like salmon arm. Food and service was absolutely amazing. Food cooked by the owners themselves and their family so you know to expect authentic northern Vietnamese cuisine. Will not miss the opportunity to eat here if we are anywhere near salmon arm! Tip: Hanoi special pho is a must!

Love the continued effort to keep the restaurant looking and feeling it’s best…. The food is top notch every time, my favourite is rare beef phö on my lunch hour. Not too heavy but so flavourful.
