I found this place by word of mouth and not sure I’ll go anywhere else ever again. If small town dive bar is your jam, this is the spot for you. Cheap beer and drinks and a great food selection. And did I mention the bartenders are awesome¡!!! Attentive and knowledgeable. And easy on the eyes if you know what I mean. Karaoke in Friday nights is great. See for yourself!

Hanks has always been one of my favorite haunts. However, they have a new bartender, Kat. I can tell you (as I’ve spent decades The restaurant business, most of those years spent as a bar manager) this young lady is an artist! My friends and I spent most of the night simply saying ‘make us something fun’. She has an arsenal of crazy drinks up her sleeve, great personality, and is quickly becoming my favorite bartender in Hampton Roads. If you haven’t been to Hanks, you need to get in here! Great food (especially the pork bbq), great drinks, and the perfect place to hide away from adult responsibilities for a few hours at a time!

Hanks Pub is great!!! This is a hidden gem! The ladies are amazing. I visit frequently on Friday nights for great Karaoke and the awesome drink specials, with Rebecca and Morgan; But I’ve been there on various evenings and it never disappoints. I love going to this place because it’s low-key and chill. It’s not a club. However, if you’re trying to find a chill spot to play pool, do a lil karaoke with very reasonably priced drinks, this is it. The mozzarella sticks are good, I haven’t had anything yet that “slaps” on the menu, but I still love it there.

Rebecca and her staff are wonderful people with a very warming and welcoming atmosphere. From day one they treated us like family and my brother and I have been visiting ever since! Also the lumpia at this place is to die for!! DEFINITELY plan on visiting this place on a regular basis. If you’re in the area, you DEFINITELY wanna visit this place Make sure to ask for Morgan.
