Waitstaff was very professional and witty. The atmosphere was nice, I thought the restaurant could have had more character. Food was okay, I think the best thing u had was cole slaw — poboy bread was good. The ceviche and shrimp were okay but nothing I’d crave. Chips were horrible. Honestly, the waitstaff was best part of the restaurant I was a bit disappointed. Someone recommended I eat here, however they did tell me the location at wharf was recommended. My dining buddy got the oysters. He thought they were good, but not best he’s had.

I visited Hanks in DuPont for the holiday pop up bar. Everyone we encountered was so so friendly and accommodating. Drinks were great and on theme. Decor was super cute!

Came to DC for the memorial weekend. One stop on my many adventures between DC and MD was this restaurant. And I am glad I did. Me and my guest did not have a reservation so we opted to sit at the bar until a table was available. We came on a Saturday during brunch. The hostess was pleasant but Chad stole the show. His drinks were amazing. Mine was one he made up and it was sooooo good.
Food was fresh and served quickly. Flavors were also on point. Our server was friendly and had excellent oyster recommendations. Very good.
I definitely recommend and would come back.

The Wharf is a must when visiting D.C. We ordered a few small plates to share. We started with a variety of three different oysters. We then had the lobster deviled eggs, which didn’t taste very much like there was any lobster in it. We then had the crab, octopus, and the watermelon burrata salad. The Rum punch cocktail was refreshing. We sat outdoors, but when the sun was directly on us we asked to move tables. The waiter asked us to move, and he didn’t move our stuff for us. It was kind of disappointing, especially since it was not a fast food place. Service definitely can improve in that regard.

Foods are good, we ordered all the specials of the days and weren’t disappointed. Seafood pasta was loaded with shrimp, calamari and scallops. Grilled oysters are good, but kinda expensive

Visiting DC and decided to stop by this place for dinner/happy hour. When I entered the staff was nice and very welcoming. Happy Hour is only at the bar, but the deals are great in good and drinks! I ended up ordering a full dinner of fried oysters, and while the seafood was fresh I need the fry batter to have some flavor to it. Other than that, I enjoyed my experience and would definitely recommend!

Amazing oysters and seafood. Reasonable prices. Oysters are fresh and there’s a nice variety. They have outdoor patio seating and indoor as well. The cocktails are great and servers were really attentive. Happy hour is from 3-7 Pm

We had a half dozen raw oysters—quickly shucked, clean and slurpy with distinctive flavor notes. Served with mignon sauce, cocktail sauce with extra horseradish on top, fresh lemon and oyster crackers. Nice choices if you use them.
Specials caught our attention. I had seafood fettuccine with pink chipotle (a fluid, gentle heat) sauce. There were plenty of perfectly cooked, tender jumbo shrimp, lobster and scallops. The chef used care. My husband had grilled swordfish again cooked properly, on a base of creamed broccoli sauce, with a side of sautéed squash and topped with fried spiral-cut carrots. It was an eye-pleasing colorful meal. We shared a generous bowl of chocolate mousse for dessert. No pictures because my phone was charging at the host station.
