Highly recommend a Sunday Jazz happy hr night in the lounge area! The happy hr prices are great and half off bottles of wine under 100$ is fantastic. I enjoyed some good oysters and I absolutely smashed a plate of fried calamari. The jazz was a bonus touch of vibes and energy and I’ll definitely be heading back soon!

We had a lovely dinner at this luxury seafood restaurant. The dining room was room and beautiful. Servers were dressed up with good-looking white suits. WiFi was fast.
We ordered the salmon entree and signature crab bisque. Everything tasted impressive and innovative. I could not only feel the high quality of the salmon and crab, but also the chef’s creativity and innovation. Definitely a five star restaurant.

Our server paid minimal attention to us, not taking time to explain the menu, offer drink specials or anything “extra”. When he breezed by the table, we had to flag him down vs him stopping to see if we needed anything, asking if our food was right, etc. It’s unfortunately this experience that stuck with us more than the food.
The food, while good, had a lot of tomatoes in it, and since it wasn’t listed as an item in the dish, I had an unexpected reaction due to having a tomato allergy.
While I would rate the food as good, we won’t be in a hurry to go back. (The best thing we tasted were the Cajun butter shrimp & scallops that came as part of the Hanks Broiled meal. I would love to order just those, but they are not offered separately.)

Made a reservation for a busy Saturday night and so glad that we went. Aside from the tables being a bit close together and the overall loudness of the place being so packed, it really is a gem of an establishment. Our server was so friendly and immediately explained the menu in its entirety. The food is delicious, between the two of us we had the she crab soup, fried oysters, and tuna tartare appetizers, plus the tuna and Black Sea bass entrees. All of it was absolutely delicious, even the bread.

Wish I could tell you what the restaurant was like but I don’t know. After having a reservation for three weeks, was seated in the bar right inside the front door. And it was in the teens degree-wise. Not ideal. Our server, Nate, was amazing. The Broil was tasty, as the Chesapeake oysters.
PS there was an impending snow storm and they were not busy, so it wasn’t that.

Second time eating here and really wanted to like this place but overall disappointed. They couldn’t accommodate dietary restrictions for a pescatarian when its a seafood restaurant. Our waiter said the oysters were pre-made and couldn’t be made without bacon. For being a white table cloth, highend restaurant I was shocked. He didn’t even check with the kitchen to see if it could be done. I have never encountered this at any other nice restaurant here in Columbus.

We had a lovely dinner last night at Hank’s. Crazy snow out there, but the sweet valets helped us get from the car to the door, so nice. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Our cocktails were perfect and bottle of wine a good price point with lots of choices. We enjoyed the trout dip for an appetizer, the shrimp and grits for our entrees. The shrimp and grits were the best we’ve ever had….sooo good. We were so lucky to have Chris for our wait. He anticipated our every need. You guys really made for a truly appreciated evening. We’ll definitely come see you again.

Staying downtown and thought they may have a crab boil but none the less, I was not disappointed. The scallops were succulent, crab cakes were comforting, the grouper was gratifying, and the shrimp n grits were scrumptious! Drinks were flowing… Oh, we got dessert to go- deliciousness!!

I will start by saying that we tried this place when they first opened and a terrible service experience. However the food was excellent. We recently returned to try again and happened to be on the night we got engaged and the staff were amazing as well as the food! I cannot express how grateful we were for the hospitality we received during our visit on this special night. My parents were in town and there to celebrate with us and Hanks truly delivered!!

We had a lovely Valentine’s Day dinner here! The food was excellent and the overall atmosphere made for a great date night.
Our server, Melanie (hope I’m spelling that right!), was fantastic—easily a 4+ star experience just from her service alone. The host was also very welcoming and professional.
A few small things to note for next time:
Seating: Our table was good, but we would have loved the option for a setup where we could sit side-by-side rather than across from each other.
Coffee: This was the only real letdown. I prefer a very hot, steamed coffee, but mine was a bit lukewarm. My boyfriend’s cappuccino also felt more like heated milk than a true espresso drink.
Overall, it was a 5- star experience. We’d definitely come back for the food and the wonderful service!
