Stopped in for lunch. Decided to sit inside. Really great vibe with this spot. An old diner or soda fountain spot meets a garage hangout with good tunes. The interior was well thought out no question. Was greeted immediately. Ordered the Hank’s Original Burger. It’s actually a double smashburger, and did not disappoint. Excellent tasting burger with the perfect potato roll bun.
Service was very friendly, attentive, and with an easy going attitude that matched the vibe of the place. Highly recommended. I will be back!

Hanks Garage is the best. The first time we went, I ordered the vegetarian burger (I like meat, it doesn’t like me) and when I took my first bite I had to ask the server if there had been a mistake? It tasted and looked like a real beef smash burger. Nope, that’s their veggie burger. The bun is scrumptious, the burger juicy and the seasonings are to die for. I crave it so much. The worst part is they aren’t open on Mondays and Tuesday.
It’s in an old garage and the decor is a perfect setting. There’s an outdoor seating area and the garage doors open during warm weather to open up the entire restaurant.
Staff is beyond friendly and helpful.
Cool bathrooms too!
TV’s everywhere so if there’s a sports game you want to watch, you’ll have no problem.

Dak was awesome and knew the menu well. Had great recommendations and those recommendations were on point! Their smashburger, loaded tots, frito pie, and fried dessert pie were incredible. They’re all reasonably priced and the atmosphere was great. All in all highly recommend hanks for a game day or high burger place in kc!

Hank’s Garage and Grill is a must for a fun relaxing evening with great food and drinks! The burgers are out of this world ! Best burger I have had in Kansas City and the included the Andy Reid burger from 1587. They have smash burgers won by a mile! Fries are equally good! Bartenders have great service and attitudes making the evening fun and enjoyable . Will definitely be back!!

This place was great! Absolutely love the spam fries and the banana ketchup was phenomenal. The menu is simple, burgers, fries, salads, nothing fancy, just very delicious.
We tried two of the cocktails and while they were definitely tasty, they were incredibly small for the price, especially when you consider the amount of ice in the cups. (I believe the cups are 12oz.) Just be aware of the size before you order!
Overall it was a great experience and we’ll definitely be back!

I loved this place. The food, service, and atmosphere so perfect. I highly recommend the Poor Boy if you like shrimp. Otherwise, go for the Hanks original burger. The drinks were amazing as well

Food is basic and over priced. Had to remove more than half of the rotisserie chicken in my $16 Ceasar salad due to pink chicken and fatty slimy parts. Quality control is lacking (see undercooked chicken and large cuts of lettuce). Bacon on burger was fatty and undercooked. Resturant atmosphere is fun, only a few parking spots available. Thin overcooked fries with no flavor. Not going back.

Hank’s Garage and Grill is amazing! The food is flavorful and freshly prepared, from their juicy burgers to the loaded fries and unique bar bites. The staff are friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. The atmosphere is lively and fun, with a great patio that’s dog-friendly and perfect for enjoying a sunny day. Plus, the restaurant is wheelchair accessible, making it welcoming for everyone. I can’t recommend this place enough!

The burgers here are a knock out. They have their own beer in cans and a great selection on tap. They have huge screens to watch football on. This place in the summer is awesome when all the doors are open. The old school diner feel with a modern twist is so unique and inviting. The spam fries are fun.

In the running for the best burger I have ever had. That’s including the original onion burger spot in El Reno, OK. So happy to have you around. Update 3 months into business and things are hopping here, same great food. Wife tried one of the wraps Thai time and loved it.
