Really good ice cream. The black raspberry was so smooth and creamy. A+. Not the nicest setting but they have plenty of tables and a few are under a shelter for shade and protection from rain. Service was great. Lots of parking.

Great frozen custard and love the texture mex food. The taco value meal is a great option and is considered a local icon. This place is open from March to November. The seating is outdoors under a pavilion or under the trees.

Same old Hanks that we remember over 50 years ago. We have been living in NC For the past 40 years, and I was in the area for my 50th high school reunion. Hanks was on my stop list. On a hot summer day we had the soft dip custard which was made on site. It was excellent. Need I say more.

Poor customer service. The lady taking the order had an attitude. Took them over 10 minutes to make a burger and nachos. The cheese on the nachos was cold, and they didn’t put everyone on it, just cheese and pico/tomatoes. The people that ordered after me got their food first. Overall would not recommend.

I got the wrap around tacos that were absolutely delicious. My wife got the taco salad and was equally pleased with her choice. As you can see by the menus I posted it’s more than just Mexican food there is an American flair as well and of course there’s the delicious custard for dessert. I recommend Hanks to anybody who just likes to get out with the family and get something good to eat!

It took 30 minutes to make 2 items, when it was dead and they had full staff on the line, too busy yappin or shutting down stations for the night, an hour before closing. Our ice cream pint is nearly melted waiting, and then my burrito isnt even fully wrapped but damn near open in the bag

We ordered a single scoop of raspberry cheesecake. One on a cake cone and one in a cup. We received the tiniest little drop of ice cream. When we asked why we were served so little, the worker said “the ice cream bin was empty.” Instead of being offered another flavor, the employee said sorry and closed the window. Very disappointing.

Service at the custard window was terribly slow. There was a young boy running the register no more than 12. He had no clue on how to run the register which made the wait ridiculous. Then when we got our one custard cookies
and cream small in a cup, there was nothing to it. It was as small as a kids cone. When we asked the girl to get a little more custard she snapped and said you will have to pay more money. There was less custard than any of the other 6 smalls we got. It was the size of a kids cone. Horrible service.

Hanks is a Beaver County staple. This is the kind of place that would be featured on Diners, Drives, and Dives. I visited on a Tuesday afternoon, and it was incredibly busy. Huge menu with lots to choose from. Although Hanks is best known for their tacos, I decided to go with the steak salad since I moved away from the area and can no longer find an authentic Pittsburgh style salad. It did not disappoint. Steak salad was delicious. Also, I couldn’t leave without grabbing a pint of their homemade custard.
