I’ve visited Hank’s a few times and would lean towards giving it a 4-star rating rather than 3, mainly due to the service aspect, which unfortunately hasn’t been great. Our latest visit reaffirmed this with slow service, errors in our order, and having to request our check multiple times.

On the positive side, the food is decent and fresh. I enjoyed their Greek salad, which, despite being a bit pricey, was well-prepared. My child is a fan of their burger, the Hank’s Smashed.

The terrace is another highlight, boasting a nice, south-facing orientation that offers ample light and sunshine, perfect for lunch.

Chef Pena and his team run a tight ship and serves above average food topped off with excellent customer service. On my most recent visit I had the double diamond burger with fries. While I found the fries to be a bit undercooked they weren’t terrible. Upon finding out, the chef was kind enough to give me an order of onion rings to compensate. There is plenty of outdoor seating available with heat lamps so even on a colder night it is pretty comfortable. As is the case when visiting the Palisades, parking can be a pain but the restaurant does offer parking validation so no need to drive around looking for precious street parking.

Hank’s Burger Restaurant in Palisades Village is a an eatery not to be missed. Great location, great surroundings, and great food. Simple menu where you can’t go wrong. We had the diamond double burger and the seafood chiffonade are both were great. The chiffonade is a cold seafood salad that has lettuce , lobster meat , real crab meat , and jumbo shrimp .

A fantastic restaurant I had the opportunity to eat at twice during my time in Pacific Palisades. On my first visit I had the double cheeseburger which was delicious with a bit of zest from the special Hank sauce. I found the burger to be a bit on the smaller side of what I expected and a bit greasier than I’d prefer, but delicious nonetheless. On my second visit I tried a grilled chicken sandwich with mashed sweet potatoes and finished off with a root beer float. The grilled chicken lacked in flavor so I added a bit of pepper.

Overall food was a solid 8/10 but service was no less than a 10/10 – wait staff was attentive and quick on both visits. The restaurant is also just in a really cool spot so gets a 10/10 for environment as well.

My one negative comment would be about the heaters on the patio – during my second visit it smelled overwhelming of propane, so much so that a mall manager came over with security to check if there was a propane leak. Also, I know California has banned plastic straws, but have you ever tried to drink a root beer float out of a biodegradable paper straw that disintegrates almost immediately? Not and easy task.

The chicken sandwich was nothing special and overpriced. It was $19 and does not include fries. Chicken was crispy and juicy however the sauce was kind of watery, dripped everywhere and wasn’t so flavorful. It also has both slaw and lettuce which I found interesting. The slaw was bland. I’d skip it. Plenty of other higher quality dried chicken sandwiches for less in LA.

Wonderful burgers and chicken sandwich. I had the Double Diamond burger and it did not disappoint. The balsamic onions on it were delicious and the meat was perfectly cooked and so juicy. Definitely a messy burger experience. The server, Alex, was attentive and very friendly. Ambiance and decor was fantastic. Would love to go back and try some other things.

The food was good, but nothing great. The burger was flavorful, the onion rings crispy. But I can get a burger and onion rings for half the price at my local drive in. You are paying for the location, which is very nice. The service was very good. My water glass was never empty and every request was executed quickly.

I felt it needed a lot more dressing for the amount of lettuce given, however it was surprisingly refreshing and light. I wasn’t sure what to expect when ordering the seafood salad but it was pleasantly nice.

Good place, I got steak and sweet fries. Yes, place is a bit overpriced. They use good ingredients but my steak was medium rare while I was asking for medium. So it was kinda chewy in the middle. Wanna try something else next time
