Eating here was so worth it, passing through San Marcos and noticed this local hot chicken restaurant an had to stop in. Super friendly service, orders and wow!!! I been to Memphis and had hot chicken there. Hangry Joe’s, you have matched it. My mouth was on fire. Seriously, you need to serve MILK cause your spice is insane and I ordered the mild too. Their house dipping sauce alone is good.
If you’re in driving through San Marcos and love to have a flaming mouth. Stop by and need to try it out yourself.

First time visiting Hangry Joe’s. We were looking for a chicken restaurant and we found it by chance. I’m so glad we did.
We ordered online for pickup. Fyi, when we ordered, the website said it was a 45-minute wait time, but it was actually ready in 15 minutes.
Overall, it’s very good chicken. The food was very fresh even though we picked up the order and drove 10 minutes to our son’s apartment.
We will definitely return!

1. No Seasoning
2. No Heat
3. Mild
4. Medium
5. Hot (This is what we got)
6. Angry Hot (waiver needed)

Ordered wings for the first time here last night. Wings were a great value, very large. Both sauces I ordered were very good. Only issue the large fry was not enough for two people. Little pricy but worth it as I said due to size of wings and both flavors were amazing. Hot soy is a solid go to on a wing flavor.

I ordered 6 wing buffalo combo for around $20 (including a shake). The wings were cooked very good, nice breading and the sauce was hot, but not my favorite type of buffalo. The waffle fries were good as well as my Oreo shake. The staff were friendly, especially Tara whom took care every one of my needs. Wouldn’t mind coming back to try something different.

The sandwich is not Nashville hot chicken. I got the Sando sandwich at a level hot. It’s spicy, but not intolerable spicy. The flavor is not Nashville hot chicken at all. It’s more like a buffalo sauce thats more vinegary and a little spicier.
On a positive note, the french fries were great in the service was okay..
All In I paid $18 for a sandwich fries and a drink and pretty disappointed by the outcome.
As you can see from the picture, the coleslaw they say they put on the sandwich was extremely soggy, not fresh at all.
Sad to say, I’m still looking for a good Nashville hot chicken restaurant in this area, will not be going back.

This food is so bad. It’s literal slop it tastes like Tyson frozen chicken but with spice. It’s a blatant rip off of Dave’s hot chicken and they didn’t even do it right. The food might as well be what u eat in the high school cafeteria. Ordered the $19.50 chicken fingers which is an insult in itself and they were reminiscent of frozen food but spicy. This place takes advantage of drunk college kids and it’s a shame. 0 stars if I could. If you are going to rip off a successful hot chicken franchise at least be good at it.
