We have been to this place a few times now, and we keep going back! I guess you could say we like the place!
My family and I have tried a variety of the dishes, and each one has been good. There is one thing that is true across the board for their dishes: their spicy is SPICY! Their Medium is hotter than other places’ Hot!
This place is quickly becoming our go-to place for hot chicken in the Boro.

Swung by this place for some medium flavored chicken tenders, and let’s just say…my air fryer ended up doing more cooking than the restaurant. The tenders came out slightly undercooked, so I’d have to take them home, give them a spa day in the air fryer, and then they finally reached their full potential. Flavor was decent after that, but still nowhere near Prince’s or Hattie B’s.
Ordering is done exclusively through a kiosk, which is great if you love touch screens- and less great if you want to talk to an actual human or pay with anything that isn’t electronic. It’s giving”paperless by force” vibes.
Speaking of humans, the lone worker on duty looked like they were spiritually clocked out 3hrs before I walked in. Not rude, just radiating strong ” I’m only here so I don’t get fired” energy.
As for the value? The tenders were med. Not jumbo, not impressive, just medium. Overall I wouldn’t say it was terrible, but a fact to finish cooking the chicken myself I should at least get an employee discount.

First time trying Hangry Joe’s and they did not disappoint. For starters, the customer service was good. They have kiosk for self service but I had questions with it being my first time. Lakshmi was super helpful and friendly. She answered all my questions and made the experience great. I got 3 chicken fingers (tenderloins) and waffle fries. I decided to try 3 different flavors on my chicken; Hot Dry Rub, wet Spicy Smoked BBQ, and Spicy Soy Garlic. They were all so good! The Hot Dry Rub was my favorite and the Spicy Soy Garlic being my least favorite. The Spicy Soy Garlic was good don’t get me wrong, but it was an interesting taste that you’d have to get used to. The quality of the chicken was superb! Some of the best I’ve ever had. It was fried to perfection and mouthwatering. Now on to the waffle fries…. Excellent! The right amount of crispy, not over cooked and seasoned perfectly. Literally no complains out of this restaurant. It was clean and the wall art was cool too. My only issue is the location, it is located on the side of a gas station and not the most ideal for convenience. Will recommend to my friends & family and definitely going back when in the area.

Great flavor doesn’t make up for undercooked chicken. Food safety has to come first. I hope they tighten up their kitchen standards because the potential is definitely there.

Got their 18 boneless. Split 3 ways, Buffalo – was pretty good, not too hot. Spicy and smokey BBQ has some heat, but for me it was not too hot, I liked these. The honey BBQ were my favorite of the 3 though.
The powdered waffles had good texture, really filling, decent taste.
The Mac n cheese was good, but probably won’t get it again.
The vanilla shake was really good.
Overall 5 stars for the wings for shake.

Was in the area on Saturday afternoon and thought we’d try a place we haven’t.
We walked and and besides the wall menu there was a kiosk to order you meal.
We placed our order picked out our seat since we were dining in and within 10 minutes our food was ready!
The food was good.. it wasn’t as spicy as we expected which was a little of a let down but a solid 8 of 10!

I had the mild mighty sando meal. It was pretty tasty. The mild was not spicy at all. The seasoning is a dry rub, and that interfered with the overall texture of the sandwich. I was not a fan of the waffle fries. The price on the kiosk, price on the menu, and price I was charged were 3 different prices. (We ate here at the end of June, so this may be corrected now.) The employees were friendly. I’m sure we’ll be back!

I’ve been to Hangry Joe’s a few times now and every visit has been consistently impressive! The food comes out looking like something straight out of an advertisement! The chicken is always juicy, crispy, and packed with flavor.
So far, I’ve tried the Sando, Nuggets, and Chicken & Waffles, and everything has hit the mark. The sando has that perfect crunch and heat, and the nuggets are tender and well-seasoned!
The quality and presentation here are top-tier!
