Hangry Joe’s has a cool, hipster vibe with graffiti-covered walls that give it an edgy, fast-food atmosphere. The menu is straightforward, broken into familiar fast-food-style options, and the food itself was quite good—well-seasoned and full of flavor. I ordered the #4 chicken wings with mild heat, which were tasty, though the ranch dipping sauce was disappointingly watery. On the plus side, the fries were outstanding—crispy, well-seasoned, and delicious.
However, the experience was dampened by some cleanliness and maintenance issues. The restroom sink was unclean, which was off-putting, and the soda fountain dispenser wasn’t working properly, making it hard to get a drink.
Overall, Hangry Joe’s delivers solid food with great seasoning, but the lack of upkeep in certain areas holds it back from being a top-tier spot. If they improved cleanliness and fixed small operational issues, it could easily earn a higher rating.

Don’t walk, run in and try this place! The chicken was hot and fresh!
The sauces were exceptional, with a wide variety available. The waffle fries were also outstanding. Furthermore, the staff provided excellent service.

They were out of knives so I couldn’t not eat my chicken. I was offered two forks which was useless. My chicken was dipped in the wrong sauce. The soda machine is just about empty, and the fountain machine-drinks are almost all of the syrups.

So I will say the last time I came here was a few months ago, and back then this place was the best. Had my favorite chicken, favorite fries, and even my favorite blue cheese dressing. But in my most recent visit, to say I was severely disappointed is an understatement. The size of the chicken tenders halved, they’re not even a meal anymore. They used to be relatively good value for the price because they were large, but what I just got was 3 tenders each the size of my finger. Second of all, the flavor of everything and general quality has also gone way down. The tenders aren’t as crispy as they were, they skimped on the seasoning powder, the fry oil tasted old like it doesn’t get changed as regularly, and the fries were soggy (they used to be divinely crispy), the blue cheese dressing is different now and not as good, it used to have actual chunks of blue cheese in it, and I would go out of my way to purchase extra blue cheese to take home it was so good, but now its all blended and creamy and lame. Also, less annoying but still noticable, its not as spicy as it used to be. I always used to get the waiver spice level because it was perfect for me, but now its weak. It’s all lacking what it was before. Until the quality is what it was, either drop the prices and be like every other fast food, or step your game back up and bring back what yall were. I want to enjoy my favorite chicken again, and I want to give yall 5 stars like you used to deserve.

Had a craving for hot chicken wings after bingewatching Hot Ones, so I went here for the first time today. It was quite good! The employee at the counter warned me that the dry rub rankings are one step hotter than most places – their “mild” would be “medium” at most other places, and he was right. I had the mild boneless chicken wings, and they were delicious! Juicy, hot (temperature), and flavored well. I’ll put them in my regular rotation of restaurants to visit in Zephyrhills.

We were in the area doing a photo shoot for a new home listing and stopped off at Hangry Joe’s for lunch. What a good choice! I had the “Sando” which was a chicken sandwich meal. The piece of chicken was HUGE. I am very full. It was placed on a brioche bun with some slaw and Hangry sauce. Very moist, flavorful with a little spice – I got the “mild” rub. The waffle fries were seasoned and crispy. The meal came with a drink. Ben has a chicken tenders meal, medium. Juicy. Crispy. Yummy. We tried a number of sauces. The Spicy Smoked BBQ was my favorite. The place was clean and fresh. The staff were very pleasant. The only reason I gave it a 4/5 is because I didn’t feel it had a $41 value for lunch for the two of us (that did include a tip). Also, I didn’t see any forks to use laid out for guests. We will come again, but can’t really afford to come weekly, but I wish we could! Thanks all.

I was a part of the friends and family bunch that was invited the day before grand opening. The chicken sandwich was so tender and juicy and huge. The Mac and cheese was out of this world. The fried okra was really good. The shake samples were so delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the invite and are gracious to those that invited us. Micha Gaudio was so helpful and friendly. Can’t wait to go back and try other menu items!
