We were looking for something different and did not disappoint. The chicken was freshly made, fried and seasoned perfect. We had the mild spice and could have gone for a bit more spice for our personal taste. Overall was very good, tasty, fresh, juicy, not overcooked. We loved it. UPDATE: I guess you need to check who is in the kitchen. Ordered yesterday the thigh and drum, thigh was raw inside. Too late to return because I was already home. Today ordered the chic bap, They overloaded it so much with sauce it was inedible. Again, was already home to turn back. Would we return? I think I prefer the cooking consistency of Canes or even HotChicken. Its a shame because the seasonings are on point, just too inconsistent and we went 3 times this week.

Ordered Sando combo stoped coming here because the increase in price and quality of food going down… well decided to roll the dice and write this review while I wait for my door dash to bring me my dinner since this fell through.
Chicken sando mild no sauce no pickles they got the pickles right but there’s a disgusting amount of sauce… after asking for no sauce. This place was great when it opened looks like they don’t care about their business anymore sad to see it.

Imagine my surprise when my 2 and 5y/o are scrambling for waster after eating a “no heat dry rub” chicken tender. I think i got wrong order because there was 2 sauces and they were not my selected one soy garlic. I’ll have to figure something else out for them but I ate the chicken. It is good but I guess have have to taste test before driving 20minutes home next time.

I enjoyed my visit to Hangry Joe’s Hot Chicken. I agree with other reviewers that the price was a bit expensive, but my food was fantastic and gigantic. I got the spicy chicken sandwich. I will warn others that medium spice is HOT, mild is jalapeno level. My date ordered the Korean chicken bites and they were very enjoyable. I will certainly return.

Went here the first time. Simple ordering, although I don’t agree with the tipping for ordering food to leave or sit down. It’s not a typical restaurant.
Ordered the 6 piece wings with fries and a drink. Along with loaded fries. It took a little bit to receive the food, however it was really good, and the portion size was nice. The loaded fries were huge which wasn’t finished.
The to go box we had for the loaded fries did not fit. I didn’t check to see if they had any other sizes or not. If they don’t a large size is recommended. I will definitely be going back, with the prices reasonable.

I bought some Koran’s nuggets combo that supposedly come with rice and waffle fries but, to my surprise, I opened my plate and there was no rice. I called the place and they told me that before ordering I had to choose whether I wanted rice or waffle fries. I have eaten at other Hangry Joes and they have never made me choose between rice or waffle fries. I am very dissatisfied with this place. I do not recommend it at all!!!!!

We normally love hangry joes. Depending who is working. We ordered chicken and waffles that is suppose to come with SYRUP but when every that lady works who doesn’t speak well English she always gives us jelly instead and is over cooked. & when my husband asked for extra syrup she says they don’t have syrup. It makes me not want to come back, because not knowing if I’m going to get what comes with my meal or not is added stress I don’t need after paying $60 for our family’s meal. Just disappointing, that’s all.

GLORIOUS!!! When I was in high school, I cooked chicken for over two years (not the same chicken), sometimes putting out more than 200 pieces a shift. I have an uncle that was a USDA meat inspector. I know chicken like nobody else knows chicken. This chicken that I ate here today was GLORIOUS!!! Seasoned well, but not overly seasoned, cooked perfectly. The batter is balanced and cooked to perfection. The quality and prep of the meat is fantastic!!! This was so good, I had to just sit on the floor, hug the cashier’s ankle and cry. It was just that good. It was so good, that my grandbabies are going to come out screaming for some of this!!!

This is the second Hangry Joe’s that I have been to, the first one was in Richmond. The staff is very friendly, greeting with a smile and willing to refill your drink while waiting. The store is setup nicely, with plenty of seating and it is kept very clean. The food was tasty, the sandwich is very large and the waffle fries are tasty. The dipping sauce is spot on. Come to Hangry Joe’s and give it a shot.

First time going to this restaurant and was VERY disappointed. I’ll start off by saying I was greeted upon entering, but I felt like when I began to ask questions about “fan favs” etc. I was being rushed and needed to hurry up and order (keep in mind no one was behind me). I decided to try the loaded fries, it came with sliced chicken strips on top of waffle fries and drizzled nacho cheese on top. The fries were undercooked, cheese was very solid. Overall not a good choice. Maybe I should have tried something else… Don’t think I’ll be returning!
