Came in for dinner this week and the owner was super friendly and patient while we ordered. I tried bubble tea for the first time and all three of us loved the one we had! We liked the fried chicken and sauce. We will be back!

It was my first time trying Hangry Joe’s! I saw all the awesome reviews and had to try it out! I went to pick something small and quick and got their chicken fingers/tenders! I got them in mild. I also got Thai tea! The Thai Tea taste amazing and refreshing and the chicken tenders are delicious. Their sauce and the addition of pickles makes it even more amazing! Will definitely be ordering again

The best places for lunch are the ones we find by accident. I was very close by and was hungry for a good sandwich.
I would not call myself a Nashville Hot Chicken expert, but I know what I like. I like Hangry Joe’s. This place is awesome.
The neighborhood is three stars tops- but get inside and be inspired with spice. I order the Mega Sando combo and asked for “hot”.
The very helpful young lady behind the counter asked me to confirm I liked spice. I did. Then two guys sitting in the dining room were talking and asked me if I liked spice because the medium spice level was kicking their butts. It turned out that hot was excellent and exactly what I wanted.
The spice was on point. I must confess I was glad to encounter the pickles in various bites. They have a welcome relief and variety of texture. The cider slaw is also excellent.
The unsung hero on the tray is the sauce that is there for your waffle fries. It is delicious and not too salty.
The interior is very plain but effective- nice restrooms. Everyone was helpful and the place was spotless.
Parking is mostly easy and right outside.
This is a must visit spot and highly recommended.

The older Asian lady who runs this place is the best. She’s super sweet and kind and out of all the hangry joes in the area, I like this one the best. The food is amazing, the portions are great, and the customer service is top notch. It’s kinda of hidden in the middle of a strip mall that doesn’t get a ton of foot traffic, but this place really shines. I actually come back to Wheaton sometimes just to stop in here, because I like this location better than one much closer to my house.

I came in here for a sandwich on a Saturday and they were extremely nice and the atmosphere is beautiful. I ordered the angry hot Sandy and they made me sign a waiver, but it wasn’t too hot. And professional business with delicious food. I also got a black milk tea smoothie that was great. Definitely recommend. Thank you.

I loved, loved, loved this location! Handy Joe’s Hot Chicken in Silver Spring is the best! Best customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life.
As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a friendly hello, how are you and a great big smile. Employee who I believe was the owner, was so attentive and helpful with the menu. Even with the other folks who came in, she took the time to show them the menu and point out different options. Customer was having a hard time with the card reader and she assisted him ethically. She was such a gem!
She brought my food to me, that was really kind of her to do. My food was amazing, hot, and delicious. The coleslaw goes perfectly with the sandwich. I ordered Tostitos on the side and received a generous portion.
I’ve read others reviews, please be mindful that the spice level, “No Heat” clearly states “may still be a little spicy,” therefore medium will be spicy. If your spicy level is low, don’t order it.
The location was clean and well organized with all the supplies needed. Great atmosphere. Great leadership. I will be back to try their bubble tea! Plenty of free parking.
