Food with attitude
This is chicken sandwich is legit. It was hot and spicier than anticipated. I ordered the Sando Combo. Sandwich wrapped inside, big enough to make you judge how to hold it. Packed with flavor, properly sloppy, and very filling. I like spicy food and ordered this at medium heat. Again it was spicier than I expected so whatever your level is, perhaps dial it back one for your first attempt.
My server was super polite and smiling.
The only thing I didnt care for is the dining area is super loud. Everything echos from kids to chairs. Has those bathroom those acoustics that musicians love. This is no place to study or concentrate. Just my opinion.

Newly opened Hangry Joe’s!!
Stopped by on opening day and everything was fresh, fast, and flavorful. The chicken was perfectly crispy with just the right amount of heat, and the portions were solid. Staff was super friendly and kept the line moving even with the opening-day rush. The restaurant is clean, modern, and has a great vibe.
Definitely worth checking out—if this is how good they are on day one, I can’t wait to see how they grow. Highly recommend!

Left disappointed and HANGRY!
I go to Hangry Joe’s in Rockville weekly and was excited when this one opened near me. The tenders were less than half the size of what I’m used to. The pickle fully covered a tender!
I should’ve known something was up when my order came out unusually fast. Pepsi Zero and Brisk were out so I informed the staff who just nonchalantly said the machine was malfunctioning. I recommended checking the syrup as the carbonation was working but again, they didn’t care. Only when I suggested exchanging for a bottled soda did I get push back in the form of “oh we have to upcharge you” but I told them I was giving them options to the problem since I didn’t like any of the other flavors. They said they’d look into it. Checked the sodas half way through my meal and still no go. When I left 20 mins later did the Zero work.
Sad this place didn’t meet my expectations. I seriously left to get more food else where. Normally, I can only finish half my meal. Go to Hangry Joe’s in Rockville or Columbia (see my other reviews for comparison) for a real full sized meal experience. Crimson Coward is also an option.

Today was the grand opening for this restaurant. So the interior is spotless , shiny , and new. The food is standard angry Joe’s food, mostly chicken sandwiches. Plenty of seating and plenty of parking. Self-serve sodas , yay! Praises seem fairly steep, close to $10 for most any sandwich. We will go again.

Medium heat is perfect on the Sando jr. Waffle fries are well seasoned. Get extra napkins as it can get a little messy, not a complaint though. Very clean space as well. Will be back for sure!

1) There was a hair in my sandwich. 2) They’re skimping out on portions. I’ve been to Hangry Joe’s in Columbia and Waldorf long enough to know what my food is supposed to look like. They only gave me two waffles when they’re supposed to give me four and the price is the same. I asked for slaw on the side and they gave it to me in this small cup instead of the larger one that I usually get it in. Just go to a different location.

I live around the corner and finally decided to go in. Hands down, my new go-to spot for chicken!!!
Crispy but not oily, and the right spice! My wife got the chicken wrap (spicy) and i picked up the wings. Solid all around!
Its brand new so the inside is super clean and designed with ease in mind. Staff was very nice too! Hope this place thrives for years to come because I know we’ll be back

Hangry Joe’s has officially become one of my favorite spots! The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and so satisfying. The chicken is perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with amazing seasoning. Their spice levels are spot-on, and the sauces take everything to the next level.
The sides are just as good — the fries are always hot and crunchy, and the waffle fries are addictive. Service is fast, friendly, and the team always makes you feel welcome. Even when it’s busy, the quality never drops.

I’m impressed that Hangry Joe’s actually listened to their customers. The tenders used to run on the small size, but they’ve completely revamped them. The new version is excellent—noticeably bigger portions with the same great quality. It’s refreshing to see a restaurant take feedback seriously and make real improvements. Highly recommend giving them another try if you haven’t been back in a while!
