Hangry Joe’s Hot Chicken in Fairfax is a fantastic spot for Nashville-style hot chicken, and we had a great first visit! We tried the sliders (their chicken sandos or sliders are spot-on), and they were incredibly tasty—juicy, crispy, and packed with flavor. The waffle fries were also a winner: perfectly crispy on the outside with that classic fluffy interior.
We’re already excited to go back and explore more of the menu. The shakes sound amazing for cooling down the heat, and the loaded fries look like they could be indulgence with all the toppings. Highly recommend giving this place a try

I had to leave a review after going tonight because I genuinely love this Hangry Joe’s location. My friend and I stopped by this evening, and once again they did not disappoint. We’ve been coming here since they first opened, and the customer service has been amazing from day one.
Tonight our food came out super hot and fresh, and everything tasted so good. The owner was there and she was so sweet, she personally made sure we were happy with our order and checked in on us, which really meant a lot. You can tell they truly care about their customers. This location is always consistent with both quality and service, and that’s why I’ll keep coming back. Highly recommend!

I went to Hangry Joe’s Hot Chicken today and I honestly felt like I had to write a review
From the moment I walked in, the place was super clean and organized. You can tell they really care about keeping everything nice and welcoming. The food was sooo good, fresh, flavorful, and definitely worth it. Everything tasted amazing.
What really stood out to me was the customer service. The staff was so friendly and made me feel genuinely appreciated as a customer. It wasn’t just regular service they were kind, patient, and welcoming. It made the whole experience even better.
I love this place overall and I’ll definitely be coming back. If you’re thinking about trying it, do it. You won’t regret it!

I have written about other chicken places. And this is THE BEST chicken sandwich no one let me eat, first the sandwich was big, certainly big enough for sharing, the spices were amazing. 100% recommend getting a chicken sandwich here! Gives me the drools just thinking about it. – Zod

Unfortunately, my experience here was disappointing. I was excited to try this place for the first time, especially since it’s halal, but both the food and customer service fell short. The gentleman at the front counter was not polite, and there was a clear lack of basic manners. I was surprised to find that even a simple request—like having pickles on the side—came with an extra charge, and this was not communicated upfront. Overall, the customer service was unwelcoming, and the food did not make up for it. After reading some of the lower reviews, I realized my experience was not unique.

I’ve been to most of the hangry joe’s locations in the nova area, herndon, fairfax, centreville… the greenbriar one is by far the best. The best customer service I’ve had in any restaurant in the last 5+ years, the food is ALWAYS hot and fresh, the consistency between all the dishes in quality is unbelievable. Their boba is underrated too, really refreshing and a great side to add to all the food. I’ve brought at least 10 friends to this location and I highly recommend everyone to come to THIS branch specifically especially for first timers.

We usually go to the Leesburg location and always loved the food in there. Unfortunately, everything we had in here lacked flavor and was too oily. We got one kids meal, funny enough, I asked to confirm it it comes with fries and was told yes, to find 4, literally 4 fries on the side. Also, you have to ask for ketchup whereas all other locations have them for you to grab. I don’t think I’ll be returning to this location as I didn’t love it.

Excellent customer service. Great tasty food. Very specialized and authentic taste. Great ambiance. Reasonably priced food and a good variety of menu items. Spicy means really spicy there and you may want to be careful while ordering top spicy stuff. I had a full bowl of yogurt right after that hot item i ordered once
