The building and atmosphere are really cute, so I had hopes for this place. Unfortunately the upstairs bar wasn’t open, as that may have helped the experience. All food was pre-made. Pre-heated may be a better description as the poutine appetizer had a salty, canned taste. Though we ordered medium, our prime rib came out still looking at us. We asked for more time on the grill and it did come back much better. Roasted Chicken was so-so. The risotto was the highlight of the meal. The creme brulee was too small of a portion to share (1 per table on this prix fixe menu) and that was fine because it had an odd, runny consistency. Our server was kind and doing her best. Everyone else dining in the restaurant just seemed underwhelmed overall. It seemed like the staff was used to that, which is kind of sad. I’d give it another try for a drink and an appetizer (hopefully upstairs!), but I’m weary to commit to a full meal.

I don’t know if they were remodeling or bought out, but definitely not the same quality of food or ambiance as in year’s past. The ambiance has changed, most of the plaques were removed from walls and we weren’t allowed into the tower, a key point when visiting. The food also was overpriced and not as tasty, I had Caesar salad with shrimp, however the calamari was delicious. The rest of our party had steaks (not much seasoning or flavor), and another had chicken Alfredo. It was ok as leftovers. Our server was attentive and did a great job though.

Hangar 1 is subpar. We tried to go to a different steak house but it was so packed so we came to Hangar 1. I was reluctant because while every other restaurant was packed they had 3 tables. The flavor of the food was decent but for 40 bucks for a ribeye that was paper thin and 70 percent fat I was really disappointed. The sides were decent but not top tier enough to make up for the sheet of steak. The only thing that “saved” the meal was the seasoning. The service was also just okay. She was pleasant and in no way rude but she was just average for somewhere of that price. This might be a better place for a lunch and get a meal that doesn’t have such high expectations or high price. Don’t get me wrong I’ve had worse experiences but i probably won’t recommend this place to anyone.

The atmosphere was so cool! The music wasn’t too distracting from visiting. My hubby loved his burger. Wish I had gotten pictures. It was so good looking! We had so much food, I had enough to take home for tommorow. The menu was a bit pricey, but not for a steakhouse. The place was practically empty! No wait lines. Very nice staff and atmosphere!

Amazing service had the Filet Medium Rare under the assumptions they would be fridge steaks shouldnt have assumed should have ordered Rare. The temp i asked for was perfectly cooked though. Steak bites were to die for fried pickles were amazing and bbq sauce for the fried pickles? Amazing combination. My only complaint would be portion size on the Garlic Mashed was a little small imo but still good.

I understand it is Valentines Day. My husband and I were driving around looking for a place to eat. We wanted to try it out. There was no sign (even a paper one) stating they were reservation only. However, there was a sign saying they were hiring for every position. A lady walked out while we waited to be turned away in the lovby wishing us “Good Luck,” no clue what that meant. The parking lot was about half-full, and the restaurant was mainly empty from what we could see in through windows. Two stars because it smelled good.

My boyfriend and I went here for our first Valentine’s day and it ended up being a disaster. He made our reservations back in October. The service was horrible, and they only had a limited menu. We both ordered prime rib and they ended up bringing out ribeye’s without telling us. We were very disappointed. We weren’t checked on at all, and not offered a drink menu. There was a couple that left early in our area and I can understand why.

This unique Wichita treasure is a great place. Our waitress was just the right amount of attentive. The food was delectable. And while the prices were slightly higher than I was expecting, it was worth every penny. Or nickel, these days.

As much as I wanted to love this place… I just can’t. The place was empty and it still took 45 minutes to get food… Half of the food was over cooked and service wasn’t great. Rare steak was cooked well done, medium burgers were well done, and the sweet potatoes weren’t done. The complimentary house bread and butter took 30 minutes to come out as well.. Just an overall bad experience. Food wasn’t bad, but wasn’t right. We are very understanding people but seriously…. There was one other table in the restaurant that had customers… They weren’t busy so that wasn’t the cause.

I am a pilot, so the decor caught me and had to give it a shot, along with 8 of my coworkers from NetApp who were all in town for some meetings at our Wichita HQ.

Decor is amazing. When we were there, there was a massive snow storm from the Rockies all the way to the Carolinas. We had reservations for our group of 9, and the restaurant called me that afternoon and told us that their food truck couldn’t get through the snow for delivery, and they just wanted to let us know in case we wanted to cancel. We didn’t. Great bar, wonderful service. While we had to figure out how to order our group with only 2 Filets, 2 Rib Eyes, and 4 KC strips available, we did. Not only were the steaks pretty good, but their sides, particularly the calamari, was amazing. Great cocktails too.

Aviation buffs, this place is a must-see. The bar that is up in the “tower” was closed when we were there, but would be interested in coming back in the summer and giving it a shot, as that bar should have an awesome view of arriving and departing traffic at ICT.
