Hangar One Bistro at St. Augustine Airport. This place is a spectacular sleeper. Hidden away and far too unknown. The food is over the top amazing! Portions are generous. The ambience is spectacular. You get to see planes land and takeoff while enjoying incredible food. What fun we had! Seriously – go there. It’s one of those amazing places where you hope the community supports it regularly because it’s worth it and you want it to be around for a LONG TIME. It hit a 100% on all the things we enjoy. My mom and I shared a meal and there was more than we could eat. – We ordered bread to start off. . . . It took just a little bit longer to come to the table, that’s because it was fresh baked! The butter with the herbs was so good. Dipping oil with amazing seasoning and the right amount of salt. We met Christian, the chef. He is from Chili. He has passion about the food he makes. Mikey is in the kitchen killing it with him! Sam was our server. Fantastic attention to our wants and needs during the whole meal. Seriously, holiday parties. After work unwind. Just the perfect venue – Not too far to drive from Nocatee.

We have lived in the area for several years and have heard good things about this restaurant. We were told it was a bit expensive but when comparing prices to other places in the neighborhood, it is very comparable.
We came tonight and the restaurant lived up to its good reputation. We ordered mussels in white wine which were plentiful, plump and in a delicious garlicky winey sauce. (Hint, ask for more toast points to enjoy the broth). For dinner we ordered the potato pancake & beef stew and rabbit poutine (special that night). Both were delicious and I would definitely order again.
Spoke to owner Anna and were told about the weekly specials. Tuesday are 1/2 priced appetizers!! (The best deal in the area). Wine Wednesday and 1/2 priced desserts Thursday.
If you are looking for a new place to try (or try again), I highly recommend.

Super happy we stuck with our decision to give Hangar One a try! Headed to the Amphitheater for a concert and stopped here for dinner. It was DELICIOUS! The drinks were tasty, the sourdough bread app was a perfect start, and both our entrees were cooked perfectly. We had the coffee, cocoa and cinnamon rubbed skirt steak, and the grilled grouper with the best cheese risotto I’ve ever had.
Then you add the atmosphere of the regional airport where we could watch small planes land and take off, and you have a perfect dinner destination!
We will be back!!

What a hidden gem!! I heard about this place a while back but never got a chance to check it out. We finally did and the food, service and atmosphere were excellent! The restaurant is upstairs but there are elevators if you can’t climb or don’t want to. They have a beautiful bar and a dining room that overlooks the private planes. Very cool. We started with calamari and pierogies (meat) and they both were delicious. For our entrees we had the seafood paella and the chicken sandwich. For both! We will be back!

This place is so cute; love the decor! Despite the occasional whiff of jet fuel, the ambiance is great. We had the beet salad and hangar steak entree. Both were tasty, though the entree should have been hotter. Pumpkin pie and apple pie a la mode for dessert were the perfect ending. Wonderful, friendly service from Pawel!

Wonderful date night place that over looks the runway at St Augustine airport. We went for an early Valentine’s Day couple group dinner with a party of 12 or six couples.
Very unique drink and signature appetizers and meals from your traditional steak to off the beaten path rabbit – which both were delicious by the way.
Will definitely visit this place again but disappointed that they had to separate our group into 2 six seater tables but we were close enough to converse across. Regardless it was a great time.
Staff was wonderful and very attentive.
Why not 5 stars? Rather expensive for 2 people, but then again the ambiance is on the upper scale. Still super cool place.

Some friends took us here. We live in Jax, and it was a bit of a drive, but totally worth it! The view is quite unique as it is at the airport. We got to watch the coast guard helicopters take off in the dark, which was fun. They had an Argentina Malbec, which was fantastic- no bitter aftertaste at all. I had a seafood pasta, which was absolutely amazing! Everyone raved about their food. Our server was also great. We will definitely be back!
