food was good, but the prices are super high. pictures show what I got for $43… A hamburger, cheese curds, and a pint of beer, including a 15% tip for counter service.

They have great food, drinks, and service. We enjoyed the jalapeño popper burger, black and bleu burger, handlebar burger, fries, side salad, and beers. The rooftop dining area is great, as well as the dining areas inside and outside downstairs. We really enjoyed our visit here, and this is the second time we’ve been here now. Highly recommend!

Great location but is lacking. For the price you should have table service, instead you have to order from the kiosk and pick up your food. Beer is expensive for Grand Junction. I’m sorry but if you want local support you need a local beer or beers that don’t start at five dollars a pint. There’s a lot of work to be done here primarily with the food. The burgers were OK at best and the poutine is uninspiring. I will go back in a few months but for now they need to work on a few things.

Great environment! Great food! Assortment of sauces! And best of all…large assortment of brews on tap! Recommend they do a taster tray on the brews. Even if it is in shot glasses. Would love to drop in a to do tasters! Beer battered cheese curds are blowing my mind. Exceptional! Thanks Handlebar for a wonderful first time customer.

This place has a great aesthetic. It’s got in and outdoor seating and roof top seating. If you like beer they got multiple options on tap. Food is Burgers and fries. They do have turkey, veggie and elk burgers..The fries are great! The service is friendly and helpful and the sauce bar has some great options. The Burgess are a little pricy but everything was tasty!

I came in on 6/4/2025. I just ordered a coke. The gentleman that served it to me was very nice. I forgot to tell him it was to go when he started putting ice in a glass. He was very understanding when I said I am so sorry, the coke is to go. I picked this up for my Dad who is on Diaylsis and misses being able to eat at the Handlebar restaurant. My Dad loves their coke. I appreciate how awesome the gentleman was that took care of me. Thank you so much for today. You are the best!

Updated Review:
My hubby was craving poutine and a burger and this is the only place he knows of that has it. The place was packed with quite a line to place our order. The girl at the counter was friendly and put in our order with practiced ease. She gave her full attention to the customer in front of her and moved on to the next with the same level of welcome and energy.
It took a bit for our order given how busy they were but they churning out meals and drinks in a steady flow. We ordered to-go as we had already planned to and were glad we didn’t have to try to find an open table.
This was “night and day” a much better experience than our initial visit which was quite awhile ago. The Classic Poutine was everything my husband was looking forward to and he enjoyed his Mushroom Swiss Burger. I ordered the Handlebar Burger minus cheese but added Green Chili with a side of Onion Rings. It was good, not fantastic but okay.
We don’t bike or drink beer which are the draw here so we aren’t the targeted customer profile. It won’t be our go-to burger place but we will likely return sometime.

The view from the overhead outdoor patio is amazing! According to my husband the poutine is rich and makes you want another bite and another. Other than the seemingly addictive poutine the food was filling but not very tasty. The veggies for the burgers are fresh and the brioche bun is great. Come for the view and possibly the atmosphere.

As a local vegetarian I am very disappointed. They offer a subpar bean burger that falls apart when you eat it and they have the audacity to charge an extra $2 for it!! For a restaurant that’s supposed to cater to outdoorsy people, they need to do better. The service and atmosphere are great, so we want to eat here, but never do because the options are absolutely not worth it for vegetarians.

Great location, finally a bar out near the trails. Bummer though is the food is very lacking in flavor or enthusiasm. Beer prices are on par for if Grand Junction was Denver but atmosphere and lay out are great. Owners need to revisit some key factors and make this place spectacular. Beer selection is impressive and I’ve heard cocktails were ok.
