The place is a Small sushi bar but quality taste. You do need a reservation and the parking lot is very tiny and limited.
The hand rolls were crisp, warm rice, and perfectly made fish. Prices were very reasonable for quality hand rolls and I guess their thing is ducks because they were all over the place. The service was quick too my only thing is that I wished they would explain what each one is and what makes each roll special but maybe this isn’t that type of place but it would definitely elevate the place in terms of service.
I got the 4 handroll set, spicy hotate, and kenpachi crudo. I also added the kiui ringo cocktail.
In the 4 handroll set included
Masu-ocean trout with chili garlic and I really liked the spicy at the end of the aftertaste. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Negitoro-paddlefish ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My favorite was the Spicy Tuna because it had that crunch with it from crispy shallots and normally I don’t like shallots but it really worked with this roll. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Avocado- this was also good it just wasn’t memorable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The kenpachi crudo was an added on al carte for me and it was interesting in that the sanbaju and chili pepper with amber jack was flavorful doused in some sauce. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The spicy hotate roll had scallops in it and some green onions in it and for some reason they made it so well that it didn’t overpower the roll. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The cocktail kiui ringo was very dangerous it was so tasty and I wanted more. It was sweet with a light apple taste and kiwi together it tasted like a jelly juice type thing and oriental with the flavors.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fast, flavorful, and seriously addictive. Handies Douzo nails what great hand rolls should be: fresh fish, warm rice, perfect nori, and bold flavors. The menu is focused, the execution is on point, and the vibe makes it an easy go-to for dates or casual nights out. Makes a great lunch spot as well. If you love sushi, this place is a must. I definitely recommend the hamachi roll. It’s one of the greatest foods I’ve ever had. The service at Handies is amazing. Friendly staff and super professional. They’ve got a this green tea IPA thats pretty damn good as well. Not a fan of green tea but the beer was refreshing and went well with my meal.
Handies is definitely gonna be one of my regualr stops. Yeah… I forgot to take a pic of my food because it was so good the first time I went, all I could think about this time was eating it. 4-5 rolls and your perfectly full. Go!!!

Always love coming to this spot! Food is absolutely immaculate, all the crudo plates are super refreshing and the handrolls are awesome. Please ask your sushi chefs for recommendations, they will be happy to provide them!

Walking in this place felt like a little hole in the wall Japanese sushi bar, very neat and aesthetic, seating at the bar felt traditional, the friendly welcoming staff greeting you and recommending the menu items. I was very pleased and satisfied after my meal I couldn’t even take pictures of all the rolls I ordered because it was so good. This would def be my go to spot from now on.

amazing quality for such an affordable price! i had the 5 hand roll set which included salmon, negitoro, spicy tuna, crab, and avocado. the negitoro was so fatty and mouth watering and i would honestly order another one separately. i didn’t add caviar on it but next time! all others were good. my only comment is that i wish they would try to diversify the rolls a bit more as they were all topped with the same crunchy topping (i think fried shallots or something similar). i feel like some bites tasted the same since they all had the crunchy shallots but maybe i haven’t been to enough hand roll bars. ambiance was good, quite tiny space though but not surprised. would definitely come back!

Absolutely delicious, the fish is fresh and tasty! And the hand rolls are well made. The five hand roll combo is filling. My favorite was the Masu hand roll but they honestly were all good! The lychee/yuzu cocktail was a good accompaniment to the meal. Service is friendly but I do wish they refilled my water during the meal. Reservations are recommended as they can fill up around dinner time.

I have heard people rave about this place for a while, and was very excited when I was invited to a lunch today. Very cool vibe. Great music playing.
The service was fantastic. Very laid back friendly counter service. We started with crudo, and the scallops with oranges and mint were fantastic. After that I did the 4 roll option and loved every one. The server suggested caviar on one and it was really nice. I will be back here a zillion times.

Can’t hype this place up enough! I’ve brought plenty of family and friends here, and everyone always loves it. From the incredible food to the music and overall good vibes. Definitely recommend trying the hand roll course, splurging on some extra caviar, and asking for chili crisp on the side. Truly a 10/10 experience, and the fact that they have multiple locations makes it even better!
