Earlier in the week I tried a different Handel’s, so naturally I had to do some “comparison shopping” and this location did not disappoint. The Not Your Ordinary Dough is ridiculously good, packed with flavor bombs that make every bite a surprise. I paired it on a waffle cone with a scoop of Saucy Caramel Truffle on top, and honestly, I still can’t decide which one I liked better. Together? Pure dessert bliss.
Service wasn’t the fastest, but when the payoff is ice cream this rich, creamy, and homemade, it’s more than worth the wait. The texture is soft but substantial, the flavors are bold without being over-sweet, and it feels like every scoop was made with extra care.
Bottom line: this is the kind of ice cream that makes you glad you saved room after dinner. If you’re anywhere near Oceanside, treat yourself – it’s not just dessert, it’s happiness in a cone.

Insane ice cream shop. We have never seen larger scoops of ice cream or bowls in our lives. 2 scoops is actually like 5. Not complaining! Amazing selection of flavors too! 10/10

If you’re heading north on the I-5, take the Camino De Estrella exit, turn right, then a quick left toward Camino Capistrano — you’ll find it nestled right in the heart of Capo Beach.
The flavors are rich, the portions are generous (especially the fruit mix-ins!), and the staff is always upbeat and welcoming. It’s super family-friendly, and yes — it gets busy after 7pm, but that just means you found the right place.
Whether you’re a local, just moved to South Orange County, or are exploring neighborhoods near the coast, this is the kind of spot that makes the area feel like home.

Fantastic handmade ice cream served by polite, professional scoopers who are patient and genuinely excited to answer any questions. The line is absolutely worth the wait—and even though it was long, it moved quickly. Before we knew it, we were walking away with a pecan praline cone. Huge portions with bold, rich flavor. Definitely a place we’ll be revisiting.
