Handel’s is a great spot for a summer night! The outdoor seating area is super cute and has a fun vibe. The ice cream is delicious, and Graham Central Station is a standout flavor I’ll definitely get again.
The only downside was the inconsistency in portion sizes. We all ordered medium (7 oz) cups, but two of them were noticeably smaller than the others, which was disappointing since we also tipped.
Overall, the quality and atmosphere are worth the visit! Just hoping for more consistency next time.

Very disappointed in the small portions at this location. For those of you who have loved Handel’s at any of their other locations in the U.S., you will be disappointed in the amount you get here. Sad too, because the ice cream is awesome, with so many great flavors. But the amount of ice cream was easily half what it is at every other location we’ve been to. We’ve visited stores in the areas of Hermosa Beach, CA Frisco TX, Akron OH, & more. At every other location the portions were wonderful, they really made going there worth it. Sadly, these small portions will not make me hurry back, or go frequently, or bring others there to experience. I almost asked to see the manager to find out if all the stores across the US have decided to use these much smaller portions, but decided not to bother. Bottom line, you will love the flavors, but not the tiny portions.
The 2 photos below show images I found online (I forgot to take a photo of my cone). The wimpy chocolate one is what you get at this store. The heftier one is more typical of the way all other stores made their cones/portions. There’s a wow factor when you get the normal amount from Handel’s. It’s an “are you kidding me” amount if you’ve ever gotten Handel’s in other locations. If the portion was what it used to be, this would have been a 5 rating on the ice cream. I kept it a 3 because the ice cream is great.

Love this ice cream place. They have a lot of flavors and also a nice seating area outside. They have wobbling chairs where kids can play. I tried their ice cream in California and I am glad they opened one in the Nashville area.

We tried Handel’s on a recommendation from our waitress at Tupelo Honey. It was delicious. We were full from dinner so we got two small cups and shared ti taste different flavors. Based on taste I would give one a four star and the other a five star. I rounded up for this review because the atmosphere was fun and our service was quick. We will definitely be back.

Love this place. So glad they’re here in cool springs, TN. Throw back ice cream experience with modern architecture. Best part, ice cream without the activism unlike the overpriced woke foo-foo ice cream spot over off mccewan. New permanent customer.

If you have issues with allergies/cross-contamination, do not get ice cream here. My family wanted a sweet treat and decided to stop by and get ice cream. My now adult son has a peanut allergy. When we go to places like this, we always give warning of his allergy. Many places take it very seriously and will use separate utensils, surfaces, etc. He hasn’t had an allergic reaction in almost 20 years, so we obviously had let our guard down. Within minutes of eating his ice cream on our drive home, his lips started to tingle. He stopped eating immediately and we got home quickly. By the time we got home, his lips were swollen and blistered – an anaphylactic reaction. Fortunately, 2 Benadryl calmed down his allergic reaction and he is ok, but this could have turned into a life-threatening situation quickly. Like I said, after almost 20 years of no reactions, we had obviously let our guard down. It’s our responsibility. However, I just wanted to give a heads up to anyone else who may be in a similar situation to not risk it here.

it is the perfect amount for the price, i got a small waffle cone and received three big scoops for 6 dollars. not bad! however, service was similar to a kick in the stomach. i couldn’t believe the glare i got after saying i needed more time, ever heard of a smile? overall great ice cream and i will return hoping a smile will greet me.
