I was in the area and saw the reviews so I thought I’d give it a chance but I left utterly disappointed.

We ordered the spicy beef noodle stew and it was very bland. The soup had no flavor besides a bit of chili oil. The noodle texture and beef texture was good I can say that but the broth itself was bland.

The pig ears had no flavor to them as well and felt like it was just pig ear and chili oil.

Finally we had the xiaolongbao and it had the texture and taste of the frozen ones you heat up.

The service was great though although they have a weird chopstick where you have to replace the tips.

Other than that it wasn’t my cup of tee as there wasn’t enough substance or taste I usually expect when it comes to soup noodles so I will not be coming back. But if you like lighter flavors then maybe it’s for you, just not me.

Newly opened northern Chinese noodle shop, we got takeout and it was absolutely delicious! As other reviewers mentioned, the 油潑麵 (spicy oil noodles) were very well done, amazing noodle texture and flavor. We also tried the special lamb chop (photo below), which was also delicious. We’ll definitely be coming back 🙂

A friend of mine suggested we try this new place. We ordered their tomato and egg noodles and braised beef noodles. The tomato egg dish was not very good. The tomato sauce tasted like it was canned sauce. The noodles were very firm almost as if they were undercooked. Portion size was average. The braised beef noodle dish was better. The beef was tender but again the noodles were very firm. Neither dish were very tasty at all. In fact, we left enough of each dish that would have normally be in a to go box. When asked by the server if we wanted a to go box, we said no.

The server was friendly but if you look Chinese will immediately speak to you in Mandarin. I spoke English to the server who only spoke Mandarin to me. A different server had to take care of us because of the language barrier.

The restaurant is very clean and there is free parking in front. It is casual family dining fare. The restaurant can accommodate small groups. Overall, service and atmosphere is fine, we were just not impressed with the taste of the food. Unfortunately we will not be coming back.

Food was good, however, prepared to pay tip. The tip should be volunteered, but they are forcing customer to pay tip. I will not come back.

My husband and I (two Asians) came here for Saturday lunch. It was busy, and there’s no waitlist system — just a waiting area. After about 15 minutes, it was only us and a white couple left. We were sitting closer to the entrance, but when the male owner came out to seat the next guests, he walked right past us and went straight to the white couple. Thankfully, they pointed out that we arrived first, and only then did he seat us. No explanation, no “light” apology.

During the wait, no one offered water or napkins, and after our food arrived, we asked for small bowls but got ignored for another 10 minutes. The noodles were fine but nothing super stand out compared to other Northern Chinese restaurants in Milpitas.

The female owner was nice, but the male owner’s attitude really left a bad impression. A simple sign-up sheet or waitlist would make the seating process much fairer. Unfortunately, we won’t be coming back.

Hand Pulled Noodle is a hidden gem offering truly authentic Chinese cuisine. Dining here brought back fond memories of home — a comforting and satisfying experience after being away from China for so long.
I tried the Big Plate Beef Noodles, and they were absolutely fantastic — the broth was rich, the beef tender, and the hand-pulled noodles perfectly chewy. The side dishes are equally impressive: the house special wontons are packed with flavor, and the Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) are delicate, juicy, and quickly became one of my favorites.
If you’re looking for genuine flavors and a taste of traditional hand-crafted noodles, this place is definitely worth a visit.

The chili oil noodles are very good and so is the dumplings. The portions of the noodles are very generous and the sides of dumplings make you very filling. The place is very well cleaned and employees are very nice. Would come again.
