Hanco’s is a charming Vietnamese eatery that opened its second location at Park Slope in 2009, thanks to the delicious recipes passed down from his parents and the loving support of his siblings and aunt. Nestled in the vibrant heart of Brooklyn, this cozy spot has quickly become a beloved favorite among locals. At Hanco’s, you’ll find delightful dishes like the iconic banh mi sandwiches, flavorful pho noodle soup, and refreshing bubble tea, all crafted with care and fresh ingredients. Come on in and taste the tradition!

Banh mi sandwiches & bubble tea highlight the menu of this Vietnamese cafe in a storefront setting.

I been coming here for years! Is always consistent, great quality & delicious! The shredded chicken Vietnamese sandwich is my favorite, the bread crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside all the flavors well balanced, bubble tea always really good, my two favorite flavors: coffee & mocha latte! Soup was delicious too, excited to try other ones! Love the decor & the vibe with plenty of indoor seating. The staff were super nice & friendly! Excellent service!

Went here after my swim
Class, and was not disappointed, the pho tasted really good and the grilled chicken and rice dish was pretty good.

Would come back !

Classic sandwich was excellent!! Bread was sublime, crunchy exterior yet soft. Succulent sauce on the meat. Paired well with the iced Vietnamese coffee.

BANH MI, PHO, BUBBLE TEA Good fix in the neighborhood for these things. The pho is decent and honestly a little hit or miss depending on the time of day and season of the year you get it. At best it’s ok and at worst it’s not worth getting but on this particular day they gave a good amount of meat so that was good. The banh mi is good and I do like the ground meat in the classic style even though that’s not really authentic but it’s a nice twist. The bubble tea is actually the best thing here. What Hancos does well is that it has the variety of all of those things plus also Summer Rolls. Expect the expensive Park Slope price. Highly Recommended for that fix ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I wish there was an option for zero or no star instead of one star because the service is absolutely awful and the food quality is even worse. The food are half cooked and I felt sick after. The people working there are also rude and aren’t very intelligent.

Heard this was a good spot for a good ol’ bahn mi. I’m not Viet, so no pitchforks please – but I’ve had my fair share of bm’s.

I ordered the classic bahn mi – spicy.

Fast service – maybe 5 min or less. The place was packed and busy.

Pricing? Feels a bit of a reach – considering size and filling amount, but i understand the area. Whatever.

I’m not really a fan of the use of ground meat vs (what i’m used to) solid slices parsed throughout. While I think it allows for a more even distribution of meat per bite, i feel like it lacked some flavor and the sauce had to do a lot of carrying on that end. Also, “spicy” is a generous classification – it’s very mild at best.

Overall – food was still filling, I’m not sure – i’d be willing to cough up another $12.50 for this quality sandwich. Will be looking elsewhere for my bahn mi needs!

I wish there was an option for zero or no star instead of one star because the service is absolutely awful and the food quality is even worse. The food are half cooked and I have mentioned that I have a dietary restriction and also ridiculous restriction of pork. I do not eat pork and they add pork in my food. The food was half cooked and smelly and I absolutely hate it. I would not recommend to anyone. Please do not go to this place and waste your money. These people don’t offer good food.

Big fan of their original milk bubble tea, there aren’t a whole lot of boba options around in Park Slope, but this place has been my go to. It tastes like Hong Kong style milk tea and the tapioca is the perfect texture with a good ratio/amount. Would also recommend summer rolls.

I recently visited Hancos at their new-ish 7th Avenue location. The lychee bubble tea was excellent, the boba was fresh and the tea was not overly sweet. I usually order the shredded chicken banh-mi sandwich or shrimp spring roll in rice paper, which is always yummy 🙂 This time I was trying to go for something lighter than the bread but more filling than the rolls so I tried the rice Vermicelli bowl. It was served as a cold salad with vermicelli noodles, shredded carrots, cucumber and grilled chicken cooked to perfection. Basically, all the goodness of the sandwich minus the bread and mayonnaise. It was delish!!! I would recommend a visit the next time you’re in Park Slope.

This has been favorite Vietnamese spot in NYC for years and I’ve tried quite a few. The flavors, service, vibe are all always spot on. I appreciate that each dish speaks for itself in demonstrating how the staff knows what they’re doing. From vermicelli bowls to banh mi sandwiches and anything else you would like, you’re bound to enjoy the dining experience.
