Absolutely a must when in Port Townsend. Restaurant is pretty small, and the food won’t be fast, but holy cow it will be amazing. We got a California roll and Yakisoba with Tofu and it blew me away, it tasted so fresh and presentation was beautiful. Great selection of Sake and a few beers/sodas, plus a ton of tea.

This is my go to when I’m in Port Townsend. Always get the spicy tofu noodle soup (vegan) and it’s always fabulous. Love this place.

Addendum—We recently visited for lunch and were met with some undeserved attitude (not the owner, but staff and chefs). Simple request was demurred with prejudice. Didn’t appreciate it and it may be a while before we return. Damn shame to.

This is the most authentic ramen I’ve had since we moved from Japan back in 2018.

Wonderful meals true to the best and truest definition of the dish. You will appreciate the fresh noodles and well-balanced and flavorful sauces. The atmosphere is upbeat bistro-style in a close format. The owner and staff are very friendly.

If you can’t get your credit processor working, post that it’s cash only, outside, on the door!

Table surface was sticky.

Ventilation?! I was choked whenever you fired up the stir frying. Hence the 2 stars, literally the atmosphere is uncomfortable.

None of my tempura or fried items were crisp-crunchy, otherwise food was fresh and tasty.

It’s very difficult to pick up food with glossy chopsticks.

Tip?! For a counter order and the other issues???

This place is super busy, we arrived at 5:20 seated and ordered at 5:40. Go finally got served part of our meal at 6:15. The rest came at 6:35 . Long wait in a small restaurant. Waiting list ,you sign in at the door. They cook one meal at a time… literally. That’s good but really scattered serving.
One family of 7 waited two hours for their last person to get dinner order served. Anyway the food is pretty good and pleasant servers. My bill. For a family of four totaled $70.00 ! That’s great bargain with four full meals. Good sushi and noodles. Located next the the famous Rose movie Theatre .

If your looking for a quick spot, this might not be the place. It is a small joint that is always busy and food may take up to 30-40 min to come out. HOWEVER, it is totally worth it! The food is a quality on another level you can tell there care about there presentation and how everything tastes. It cost me $32 for ramen, gyoza, a cucumber roll and a soda, totally worth it and the price point is great for the quality! This is a must stop spot for Port Townsend!

I found this gem through a friend…so glad she shared. I usually sit at the long bar counter as there is rarely a wait to be seated there!! Plus, the bonus of the aromas as food is being prepared.
If I weren’t so vertically challenged at 5’3″ I would be able to watch as well…alas, if I sit up very straight I catch glimpses of rhythmic dexterity in those hands who create the art that tastes fantastic!
Best to not be in a rush…sit, savor and enjoy this experience.
