SO MUCH FUN! They cook the food in front of you and it’s a real show! They were so friendly and the food was delicious. Came here for a friend’s birthday and they made it so special! Will definitely be back! (Photos don’t do it justice… I was too excited to take photos of all my dishes!)

Went for a birthday meal with my family. Great service and atmosphere. They put on a fun show. Just be weary of the eggs *if you know you know*
Only thing I can fault it on was the toilets. Unsure if there was a disabled one but they were down a lot of stairs and my mother struggled. Not the restaurants fault as the buildings in newcastle tend to be like this due to age. But it may be a struggle for anyone with bad knees.

Came for an evening meal, was definitely not disappointed.

First time visiting a tepenyaki style restaurant, we were unsure what to expect but needless to say we were very excited about the experience.

Our excitement and anticipation for the experience were not let down, from entering the restaurant you are greeted with friendly staff who help you to your table, which you share with other diners as you are of course sat around the cooking station, the interactive cooking show was fantastic and made the whole experience so memorable.

Being able to experience something like this here in Newcastle is something myself and my partner won’t forget, we understand that the Japanese enjoy the social aspect of dining and want everyone to communicate and have fun while they eat, we did just that.

Our station chef was brilliant and kept us entertained.

We decided to share our food and went for two banquet options, the mixture of seafood, sushi, chicken and steak was brilliant.

Although some aspects of the restaurant seem a little dated and could use a little bit of attention the overall experience was not let down by this at all.

We will be back with our children to share the fun and enjoyment of food!

Thank you.

I came here with a group of friends for our Xmas meal. It was my first time and it certainly won’t be my last. The food was gorgeous and cooked however you like it. The price was very reasonable too for what we got.
5 stars to the staff for the pure entertainment. The atmosphere was great, lots of laughing & smiles all around. I can’t wait to book again

Its been a number of years since we went to HanaHana’s. We had a really good night with some of our younger members of the family. The chef we had was really good. A bit of theatre in preparing the food with customer participation. Thoroughly recommend it and we won’t leave it as long next time before we go back.

It was my first visit to Hanahana. Great atmosphere, with chefs doing tricks, which you can try as well. Live cooking in front of you.
The atmosphere was better that the food. The tofu was good, but calamari a bit overcooked on teppanyaki. Overall a good experience

I can’t express how much I stepped out of my comfort zone by visiting Hanahana. I knew what to expect and what I was signing up for, but I decided to go anyway, and I have no regrets.

This restaurant offers more than just a meal; it’s a lively and engaging performance by the chefs. They actively involve you in the process, creating a fun and interactive atmosphere. Even if you’re dining alone, like I was, they make an effort to ensure you feel comfortable and connected with others at your table.

I highly recommend Hanahana if you’ve never been to this style of restaurant before. It’s not just a meal. It’s an unforgettable memory that will stay with me for a lifetime.

Hanahana has been my favourite restaurant in Newcastle for years! The staff are always so friendly, the teppanyaki experience is not only entertaining and interactive, but the quality of the food is amazing! And don’t go to Hanahana without trying Roy’s special sushi, particularly the dragon roll and dynamite roll as it is definitely some of the best sushi you will ever try – highly recommend whether you go with your partner for a lunch date or celebrations with friends and family in the evening!!
