Was excited to try Hanabi after the good reviews. For me, Hanabi was average and the food is not authentic Japanese. The chicken karage was not light, instead it tasted like frozen chicken with lots of of batter. The nigiri was hit or miss. The yellowtail had a fishy after taste. The unagi was deep fried and also had a fishy taste. The premium charashi bowl’s rice was better than the fish it came with.

TRULY SOME OF THE BEST SUSHI IN LA!!!! I was amazed when everything came out beautiful, fresh, tasty, creative, and utterly perfect. This place is a gem and I look forward to going back. Definitely the prices are appropriate for the quality of fish and level of food/service they provide here. Everything was fantastic. They should be very proud of their restaurant! I know I would be. Well done, Hanabi Sushi! I will definitely be coming back and often!

Litterally the best sushi place in town… fantastic quality of food. I enjoyed the top Omakase; Very inspirational, the chefs are doing different and new things with old transitions. So I really wished I could give them a higher rating, but the food was just okay. Considering the price, it makes it not really worth it. (Ordered two omakse $100/ea, but felt like we only got $30-50 worth of food at best.)
The easiest way to put it is the sushi style is like an AYCE place when ordering a la carte. It’s a step up in presentation and quality, but not quite there.
No wasabi was put into the sushi, most sushi had soy sauce on it. Oddly, the first piece, the sushi rice was really good, but after that, it was too dense.
The rolls might be better, as Korean sushi places have pretty good rolls, but I didn’t try any of it.
They have a shared free parking lot, but it can get full.
Service was nice and attentive, but we also went early, so there were little customers.
This experience has made me want to test an individual sushi first before ordering omakse the next time.

If you are looking for creatively crafted sushi with fresh ingredients, you need to look no further.
Each sushi is unique in its own way and the ingredients all work well together to deliver the chef’s desired texture and taste while in an appetizing presentation.
The ambience is a little dark and seating is not the most comfortable. However, the dinnerware is meticulously matching.

The sushi at Hanabi Sushi Bar is insanely good. Salmon, tuna, snapper, all as fresh as can be and expertly handled. I have never before had every bite be so tasty that soy sauce was simple unnecessary. Each piece let the fresh fish be the star while still being a complex treat. Will be returning repeatedly
