Update a year later: Just the same! Still delicious, still nostalgic!
I have been wanting to come here for years now as there are very few of the more traditional sushi restaurants in the area. It was well worth the wait and is our new favorite!
The gyoza are clearly in-house made and tasted just like I make at home! Wonderful flavor, dipping sauce not required.
We ordered both the shrimp and the vegetable tempura dishes, and neither disappointed. Generous portions and transported me right back to eating tempura in Kyoto, Japan.
All of the sushi rolls we ordered were delicious. If you’re looking for an actually spicy sushi roll, the dynamite roll is delicious and packs a punch with its tograshi seasoning. If you’re looking for something more unique and wonderfully refreshing, try the ume shiso roll!
The mochi was delicious and I was so happy to see koriyama cheesecake on the dessert menu! 美味しい！

Really surprised to find this gem in Red Hook. We’ve only gotten it for takeout, so I can’t speak to the atmosphere. We use the online ordering platform. The sushi is really good! We’ve tried a decent variety from sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and speciality rolls. We’ve enjoyed all. We currently order once a week!
