Great selection of dim sum. Staff were very attentive and kind. I’ve been to several of the Han Palace locations but this one is definitely at the top of my list. The crab claws were a highlight!

Hidden Gem Alert!

We’re perplexed why this restaurant remains underrated! Delicious food and exceptional service have solidified its spot as our favorite.

Upon arrival, the friendly male waiter/manager warmly greeted us, offering seat options. We were thrilled to be seated in a lovely spot, setting the tone for outstanding service from him and Li.

Li deserves special accolades! Her attentive, warm nature made us feel welcome. When she found out it was my husband’s birthday, she surprised us with a thoughtful gesture: she surprised us with a thoughtful gesture – turning on birthday music, presenting a candle, and leading the staff in a heartfelt rendition of “Happy Birthday”!
A sweet touch: her young daughter (we assume!) enthusiastically chimed in with an adorable “Happy Birthday” wish!

Each dish was a culinary masterpiece, boasting expertly balanced flavors, generous portions, and beautiful presentations. We savored every bite of our delicious dumplings, crab meat soup, pineapple shrimp fried rice, stuffed crab claws, and desserts.

The restaurant shines with:

– Immaculate cleanliness
– Tasteful decor
– Cozy ambiance

With a 20% gratuity already added, we still chose to tip extra – a testament to the staff’s hard work and dedication.

Ignore negative reviews and give this hidden gem a try! You won’t regret it!

We opted for the unlimited tasting menu $48 pp + 20% automatic gratuity for 2x. Things were going very well as the chinese broccoli was fantastic! Then next couple of small plates were OKAY, but we ate with an open mind. We ordered a next round of different dishes and again things were OKAY, but we were having a nice time. At 8:45 pm, we were told the kitchen was closing at 9:15 even though OFFICIAL closing was 10 pm. So…we ordered the peking duck and pickled radish and lo mein. The radish came and it was not good (I’ve had plenty of Korean pickled radish and love it) and lo mein was dry and flavorless. We didn’t complain, we just had the wait staff clear the table to make room for the duck. My dining date ordered more Chinese broccoli and Snow pea leaves to replace the dishes we didn’t bother to eat. We got those before the duck and was conservative eating to save room for the duck. THEN our main waitress came with the bill. We said we didn’t get the duck yet. She said, “You don’t like our food and you didn’t finish everything. So no duck is coming.” WOW. They got $158 out of me including a $26 tip I had no say in. We ENJOYED ourselves til the ATTITUDE happened. So even though there would’ve been repeat visits for the novelty of it, we now will NOT RECOMMEND EATING HERE EVER. We were treated so poorly for no reason!

What and awesome concept in Georgetown DC. Priced at $48 option B covers A&B choices. Which includes a nice portion of Peking duck, chicken veg- dumplings, three treasure seafood, snow pea leaf, lotus leaf whit fish in special sauce, and dessert options. $18 for a bottomless mimosa 3 options they have a full drink menu as well. Excellent service food comes out hot and very tasty. Give this restaurant a try you will be happy. Leanne and Carolyn were amazing servers.

I recently visited Han Palace, a charming Chinese eatery Chinese food with dim sum, and I was not thoroughly impressed! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a classic touch of Chinese decor that added to the authenticity of the experience.

The dim sum menu was very limited, featuring har gow (shrimp dumplings) to siu mai, crispy spring rolls and soup dumpling. Each dish was freshly prepared, and the flavors were not wow. However, the char siu bao (BBQ pork buns) were soft, fluffy, and filled with rich, savory pork. The service was attentive as well. The staff were attentive and quick to recommend popular dishes. The dim sum arrived promptly. Many other dishes were ordered and they were just nothing extraordinary.

We enjoyed the unlimited dimsum and more. I thought the $38pp was very reasonable for about 25 different food items. Yes there’s an automatic gratuity which was about $7.50 pp, but I didn’t find that ridiculous when servers has to come to your table for at least 10 times taking unlimited orders and unlimited plates. The place is packed and for some customers may be too tight as I’ve seen.

The servers may not meet your expectations, they are very busy. It’s like a marketplace lol. Loud, constantly walking past you and may not remember to smile. No big deal for me because I came for my dimsum haha.

We tried almost everything. And my favorite was the chicken claw aka chicken feet, husband loved the stuffed crab claw. The pork siomai, shrimp dumpling, fried beef dumpling, pineapple fried rice were other items I would have loved to get more of but ran out of space in my body. They were great! Didn’t care for the spring roll and pork bun. We tried all the desserts and found them all great. Husband loved the purple bun and I loved the sesame ball, wished it had the beans inside though. But all great!

The food was freshly cooked and steaming hot! Will I come back? Yes absolutely.

Small portions for the price. Also their buns didn’t even taste as good as these frozen ones you can get from grocery stores. The seats near the bar were very uncomfortable. Try to avoid to sit there. However, the bartender here could make a drink though. It was delicious! The waitress was very nice too.

Potentially the past super negative reviews were warranted, but I just went for the first time today and had a great experience.

For the price you cannot beat the selection and the crab fried rice and the Peking duck was super solid and presented nicely. Would go back just to order that again multiple times. Service was a good pace, some items came out quickly while others took a bit longer. To address some of the criticism about service, today’s staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. They even changed out our plates a few times and were super quick to top off bottomless drinks.

There is something for everyone here, and given location, price, variety I’d say well worth it. Looking forward to going back.
