My BF and I were hunting for a gas station 17 mins away on the beachfront , so we had to drive back in town , I came across this gem – we made it like 5 mins before they closed (they were cleaning & closing up ) . Not as authentic or flavorful as I wish, but it got the job done for a quick meal for where it is out east… The Tzatziki sauce was literally yogurt with a couple of shredded cucumber pieces in it no particular flavor and the salad dressing was I think a rich Italian dressing and not a traditional Greek oil and vinegar and herb dressing.. the chicken was decently grilled well. The place over all is very nice and the staff were very pleasant and attentive.

Luckily, just a half mile west of the Sunrise Highway Exit in Hampton Bays, we came upon the Hampton Gyro and Grille on Montauk highway. ONE WORD – WOW! Maybe two WOW-WOW. Owner Mike and his team opened at the end of last September. His black t-shirt clad staff contribute significantly to the secret of his success. Working together as a top cruise line, they turned around our meal in such a quick time, and every item was cooked flawlessly. But, the number one reason is the food.
Simply put, it was delicious and flavorful. Offering both traditional Greek and American favorites, tonight we opted for the Greek menu. For starters, we tried the Olive Hummus and Spinach Pie. The hummus was ultra creamy and served with toasted pitas. The Spinach Pie with golden crispy pastry was a savory delight. For our main dishes, we enjoyed the Classic Gyro and Gyro Platter. The tzatziki sauce was tasty and light and accompanied both selections. The platter also has a Greek Salad and rice, (could also have fries). Not yet open even a year, Mike has grand plans to help accommodate the seasonal swells. Seating more than 50 patrons now, keep your eyes on the Tiana Shopping Plaza as you pass by (when not dining) here for a row of pretty umbrellas he hopes to put out. Mike has another success on his hands! So do stop in soon, enjoy dining inside and put their take-home menu in your pocket. Keep it handy as you are sure to use it!

Unfortunately won’t be returning. My husband ordered the 32 oz quart of lemon chicken soup. If he was lucky there was maybe 5 pieces of small chicken. There was hardly any rice at all in it. For $14 you’d expect a hearty bowl of soup. Hopefully my review will remedy for future patrons.

This is bare bones fast food and their chef is the Microwave. Moussaka came out cold in the center and hot in the bottom. And their soup is burning hot. No flavor and disgusting microwaved food for $10+
