Food was VERY good. Where everything fell apart was the service. After we ordered and received our food we were never checked on again. No refills, no how’s the food, had to go up to get the bill to pay. Maybe would have stood a better chance sitting at the bar. Server seemed busy chatting with people too. We might try it again but the service will definitely be in mind when deciding.

This was the best meal we had on our trip to Deer Creek State Park! We shared the cheese curds as an appetizer they were fresh and very tasty. I had the mushroom burger, and my husband had the ghost pepper burger . They were both delicious, good quality beef! The fresh cut fries were great, too! Definitely would go again if we are in the area and recommend to others 100%!! Staff were all friendly and helpful.

Food on point! Perfect spice, not too much. Side salad with ranch(spicy) 5 pieces boneless with carolina gold is perfectly sauced. Carolina gold is the best. Taste house made, little sweet, perfect heat. Great balance, difficult to achieve! I’m not sure about the prison trays. Patio needs work. Suggest shade sail! Need to bottle Carolina Gold! Surprisingly pleased. Someone is a real chef who created this menu. Not a bar cook! My taste buds are doing a happy dance. Someone knows how to create sauces.

Hammertime has become a staple of Mt. Sterling in the few years it has been here. The food is frankly unmatched. You can not find a better meal for miles around without driving over twenty minutes away. It always comes out hot, fresh, and quick. The portions are equal to what you pay for and you can easily end up taking some home for later. The service is simply impeccable. You will not find more attentive people working anywhere else. You’ll never have to worry about not getting a refill, extra napkins, or just decent conversation. The atmosphere is electric. Almost contagious even. You wont ever find someone there unhappy because it’s just that joyful of a place to be. Even if you arent much of a drinker, its just a great place to come in to sit, talk, grab a bite to each, shoot pool, or throw darts. Overall, Hammertime is top quality and after a few times going, I will never not come back.

Passing through Ohio on 71 south of Columbus, found this spot about 10min off the interstate. A bar feel in a small town and friendly atmosphere.
Side Salad was a winner with everything u need and homeade ranch. Hammertime burger was loaded with bacon lam, jalapeños, cheese, onions, and a bourbon glaze. Spot on! Wife had the chicken version.
Added bacon and beer cheese to the fries, good option.

Went last evening and it was fantastic!!! The menu has something for everyone.
Appetizers were Redneck calamari and cheese curds.
My son had the “Hammer Time burger”, hubby and daughter in law had the Buffalo fries loaded and I the Fall salad.
Excellent food, service and friendly laid back atmosphere!!!!
We will be back.

The service is the only thing bad about this place. The “waitress” disappears and for long periods of time in the bathroom..
Food is great. Vibe is fine. Service at the bar is garbage. Always have to get your own refills..
