I was craving a burger and, of course, we had to try a place we’d never been to. Figured my best chances of a good burger would be at a bar and grill, so we headed to Hammer Inn.
As soon as you walk in, you can tell it’s a local favorite. The bar was busy, and there were several tables filled with people dining.
The place is very clean, and even smells clean.
We ordered whiskey rye Old Fashioneds, sweet. We were a little nervous when we saw they weren’t muddled, but they turned out to be great drinks. There was also a special where if you got a second one it was $4 off (something like that), so of course we took advantage of that
For food, we ordered a double cheeseburger ($13.95), a mushroom and Swiss burger ($11.95), and the appetizer combo ($12.95), which lets you choose two appetizers and comes with fries. We went with mini tacos and cheese curds.
The burgers come on a toasted hard roll. These are big burgers. Both were cooked perfectly and very juicy. The mushroom and Swiss really stood out, the patty had a nice char, was well seasoned, and very flavorful. The double cheeseburger patties, while still good, didn’t quite have the same level of seasoning or “love.”
Our daughter enjoyed her mini tacos and cheese curds, though she was in a mood and refused to do a cheese pull. Thirteen-year-olds ♂️
Our server, Randall, was friendly and attentive throughout our visit.
Hammer Inn has a wide variety of food options. They offer a Friday fish fry (which we’ll definitely be back to try) and have a prime rib dinner coming up this Saturday. The day we visited, they were also running a burger and fry special for $7.95.
Overall, we were very impressed and will absolutely be back.

The Tenderloin sandwich on a crispy hardroll with side of asparagus was so delicious! The meat was tender and the sauce was so savory! I’m going to crave that sandwich for sure. Underestimated place. Pool Table sitting area would be fun for a friend gathering. We’ll be back!

First time here and it did not disappoint. The burger was fresh and hand-pattied on a soft bun. It tasted like my Grandmother used to make, and she made great burgers!
The bartenders were friendly, attentive and fast! Great spot to give a try if you are around and looking for a neighborhood type bar.

Amazing staff, quick and cordial service. Much more down to earth than some other bars in the Green Bay Area. Burgers are 100% the best from a bar that I’ve ever had. Cheese curds and curly fries are definitely a must-have when eating here. Everything is reasonably priced. 10/10 would recommend
