My family and I (five of us total) recently visited Hamilton Family Restaurant, and overall we had a nice experience. The atmosphere feels very warm and homey — you can tell this diner has been around for decades and still carries a strong family vibe. Parking was easy and accessible, which made getting in and out simple.
We ordered a variety of breakfast items. The chocolate chip pancakes were a little thicker than we prefer I’d give them a 6/10, but the oatmeal was solid and comforting 8/10. The sticky bun wasn’t quite to my taste 6/10, and the hash browns reminded me of McDonald’s style — crunchy and greasy — about a 6/10 as well. Even with a few items that weren’t our favorites, the food overall was good and satisfying.
Our waitress didn’t give us her name, but she provided wonderful service. She was quick with our drinks and food, very attentive, and made sure our table had everything we needed. For two people, our portion of the bill came to around $45, which felt fair for the amount of food we ordered.
If you’re looking for a classic, family-style diner with friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere, Hamilton Family Restaurant is worth a visit.

Went to treat myself to a birthday lunch and a young man and his date were there for his birthday. They treated him very nicely and took birthday pictures. I didnt mention mine but I enjoyed seeing his happiness. The cashier and the waitresses were very kind and attentive

As you can tell, I was in the middle of eating my food before taking a picture lol. Food is amazing. I’m very thankful they have many different breakfast options (including high protein omelet- which is my favorite). Staff are very friendly and always ask if you need anything. Parking is great. And the food is fresh and amazing.

I have been eating at the Ham Fam off and on since I was a teen and that was a long time ago. I went for Dinner over the weekend and the food was beyond disappointing. I have had good experiences with the breakfast menu, but not with Dinner. I have to say that I believe the food quality is declining and it started with the new menus and price increases… so new owners? not my business I just want good food.
In the past I had to return a steak twice because it was way over cooked. This time I was trying to enjoy my birthday and the specials looked good. Lobster Bisque and BBQ Beef Brisket. The soup was gloopy, just unappetizing to look at, and I am guessing made with imitation lobster. Hardly any flavor. Broccoli Cheddar soup was the same, but blended to remove any signs of actual broccoli.
I am no expert, but you can’t just roast a brisket, douse it in barbecue sauce and call it BBQ Brisket. It was tough, chewy, fatty, and drowning in BBQ sauce that had been freshly poured over it. A few bites was all I needed and got the check.
I don’t anticipate returning.

The serving size and quality of the food is wonderful, and the prices aren’t high! The butter they use on everything is excellent. The amount of food I got here for under $40 would have been over $60 anywhere else. My wife and I will be coming here often!

The food is amazing! I GYATT the French toast and pancakes it was on point my guy. Now the soup is mid not gonna lie. The number one thing I look for in a restaurant is good booths. Now this place has some cozy booths. I hate tables and the tables were only for parties. If u want a table go elsewhere because ur definitely weird for not wanting a booth. Service was very nice I don’t remember our waitress name but she was really helpful and friendly. Gotta love a good old home style diner and this has the diner vibes . We will most definitely be returning hopefully soon because this place was BUSSIN !!

This was a nice and fun place to have breakfast. The portion size is very generous but also reflected in the price. The staff were all chill and the general feel of the place is clean, retro and broken in yet comfy. I liked it a lot!
I ordered pork roll, egg and cheese on a bagel and it was the best I have had in PA. I’m from NJ and can never find even a decent bagel. These bagels were good and the amount of pork roll was spot on! It was a very salty sandwich, which was exactly what it should be! I also ordered home fries and got enough for two people! Delicious food! I took half home. But those two items, a glass of water and tip was $20+. That’s a lot of money for one guy eating breakfast! But I brought half of it home! It was a little out of my budget for breakfast but I loved the whole experience and would recommend this place for sure!

Had lunch here after a visit to the area. Service was pleasant and attentive. The New England clam chowder was very good. Perfect for a cold day. I also had the liver with mashed potatoes and gravy. The liver was done well, and the gravy was tasty. Mashed potatoes were basis but not bad. Bacon cheeseburger was large and tasty. If you’re in the area and need a soild diner to go to don’t hesitate.
