I was driving around the area, craving some burgers, and randomly decided to check this place after looking at some options on Maps.
The menu is very simple, and prices are fair. I got the double smash burgers, which were $11 each, but they already come with cheese and grilled onions. A lot of other places I’ve been to would have charged extra for those toppings.
Service was pretty fast. The burgers were INCREDIBLE. The beef was cooked perfectly and tasted high quality. Smash patties are tricky to get right, as I feel a lot of places make theirs too dry, but the patties here were perfectly juicy and tender. I loved the buns they use here; they’re pillowy soft but still maintain their integrity so your hamburger isn’t falling apart in a soggy mess. As someone who loves to add a lot of sauce to my burger, they definitely don’t skimp out.
We also got the loaded fries. The portion size was very generous; we were contemplating getting two separate orders, but turns out one order was enough for the both of us. Loaded fries tend to be hit-or-miss for me, but there was a good balance of the loaded toppings and crispy fries.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend you try this place, and I’d happy come here again.
The fries were amazing as well, it was crispy, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. My kids ordered the double smash, and they absolutely loved it too. Great quality, great flavor, and a spot we’ll definitely be coming back to. Highly recommend!
Thank you for making my visit enjoyable!
The price is actually on the cheaper end for its quality, costing about as much, if not less than a similar meal would cost at Chili’s. The double smash burger is only 11 dollars for reference.
The soda is all real cane sugar, and the difference is very easily noticeable. (which is a good thing)
The burger is also great. It has a very noticeable melting quality, helped by the sauce and softer buns than most other places. The pickles are strong, sort of similar to Best Dill. (which is a good thing)
The beef bacon I thought would be a trade-off but it still tastes very similar to regular bacon, with a bit of a steak fat aftertaste that I surprisingly like more.
The fries are very crusty (a sign of authentic oil cooking) and are crunchy despite being soft. (which is a good thing)
Lastly, the vanilla ice cream and shake were also great. The owner told us they were going for a stronger vanilla taste which reflects in the taste. It tastes much more similar to a vanilla bean flavor, and even has noticeable black specks in the cream that most vanilla bean drinks do. (which is a good thing)
The only downside of the entire experience was the ice cream cone, which is just a cheap Joy-brand cone, but I’m also not much of a cone person lol.
Overall this is shaping up to be one of the best local restaurants in southern DFW. Hope this takes off!
What we tried:
Double Smash – Bacon & Jalapeño: 7/10
Pretty good, though it was drenched in ketchup, which was a bit much for my taste. On the plus side, I do appreciate the amount of bacon they include for the price.
Single Smash – As it comes: 9/10
Hamburdoggi: 4/10
This was a letdown. It was overly soaked in ketchup and felt overpriced for what you get. Plus, it arrived completely flipped and smashed. A simple fix could be adding a smaller tray inside the box to hold things in place. And to be clear, we were in the car outside — good luck if you’re taking it all the way home.
The servers also left my order incomplete, they forgot my drink and sauces I asked for. I went back for the hot dogs to be remade and the servers weren’t so helpful.
Overall, it felt pricey for a concept that didn’t quite live up to the hype. The place has great reviews, and I really wanted to love it, but unfortunately, I just couldn’t agree with the hype.
