I grew up in the neighborhood, and have eaten here as long as I can remember. The cheap, simple burgers are what its all about. I totally love Hamburger Stand, and this one is special to me as I have been going here for such a long time.
I suggest the regular hamburger, fries, chili cheese fries, chili cheese burger, and chili cheese dog. This is simple, cheap, fast food, not a gourmet restaurant. For what they do, this place is great.

I love to eat here! I love the chilli cheese burger and the chili cheese dogs!!! I’ve been going to Hamburger Stand since I was 7 years old, When they have fish and chips, the fish was better than other high end restaurants that sell it. This place does it right! If the manager (male) is working in the kitchen, he’s really cheap with the chilli, like I really get very little. So go when the male manager is not working the grill. Or pay for extra! The food is always good!

It’s rare when you run into one of these places in the wild, seems like bad ol’ “Corporate America” haven’t found them all!
Anyway, this place DOES show it’s age with its bewildering store structure and limited eating room. But I think it’s part of that charm nowadays.
The food is as expected, nothing fancy, and the prices are still better than other fast food joints, so there is that.
Good ice cream, though. That thing never breaks down.

It’s good for getting your junk food fix. I love the corn dogs can’t find them in most places. IMO only downside is the price of sodas. Anything over 2.50 is too much.

If i could have given minus stars, i would have. i am so tired of employees arguing with me about my order. I know what i order but all i get is an argument. Today my order was wrong but the so-called person in charge wouldn’t listen to me, only to tell me he’s been working there for thirty something years and knows what he’s doing. Well, no, you don’t. I would suggest eating some place else where you don’t get an attitude.

The employee’s are great … They both went out of their ways to make sure that my wife and I were taken care of even though it was just about closing time. It’s people like that that makes me feel like there are still people who care about our experience and make every effort to make it positive.
