Amazing dining experience! I arrived 10 minutes before they opened and was lucky enough to get a seat in the first seating. The setup is intimate, centered around two chefs who prepare each piece of sushi right in front of you. It’s served directly onto your plate, which ensures maximum freshness. I was able to try so many different kinds of fish, and every single bite was incredible. Definitely a must-visit, and I’ll be back for sure!

I have been here many times. Love their food. One of the best sashimi and sushi I have ever had. I preferred the old waitresses they use to have. The newer younger ones are okay but could be better. I would definitely go back because I like the quality of the sashimi and sushi.

Honest comments from a frequent traveller to Japan, the food quality is average.

Understanding the sushi should have been adjusted to local flavour, honestly I don’t need to taste any green/red toppings or excessive soy sauce if I am ordering sashimi. I am ordering sashimi as I would like to taste how the raw fish to be.

The rice base making the sushi was tasteless and not firmly sticking with each other.

Food does not seem quite fresh either. I was suffering from diarrhoea at night.

In terms of atmosphere, the seats are so packed and my elbow kept hitting the people next to me.

Another side story, there was a Korean young couple questioning the prices at the night I visited. There was a server talking in Japanese to the chef that “if they cannot afford, why did they order so many food”, while the couple was still in the shop.

Overall not recommended. I could not feel the professionalism though all kitchen staff look like Japanese.

Very small but delicious spot to eat at, highly suggest coming here if you love sushi. Everything is very authentic and the food is to die for, don’t expect much ambiance or decor, just go here for the amazing fresh sushi, you won’t be disappointed.

We waited an hour to be seated, it’s popular and like I said, small. Went across the street and got a drink then when we returned we were seated. WORTH THE WAIT.

As a loyal fan of Japanese cuisine, I have to say I’m somewhat disappointed. Despite the high online ratings and my high expectations for the sashimi, the quality was quite average and nothing remarkable. Additionally, the restaurant does not allow photography. These photos of the dishes were taken discreetly. I don’t understand why photography is prohibited—are they afraid the quality will be exposed?

I came here from the Bay Area, and honestly it’s been a long time since I’ve had sushi this high in quality at such a reasonable price. Before going in, I didn’t even check the reviews I just guessed from the look of the storefront that it might be an authentic sushi place.

There are three experienced Japanese sushi chefs, and the atmosphere is excellent. The sashimi is very fresh, and both the portion and quality of the rice are outstanding. It seems like there are many regulars dining here. Personally, I think if this place were in the Bay Area, it would definitely be considered omakase-level sushi. Highly recommended! (‘m so lucky haven’t wait too long, Ithink usually it need to wait for a while)

My #1 go to sushi place. Hands down.
Unless I feel like just filling myself with sushi, if I want legit sushi, this is the place. Never disappointed. Chefs are so kind and vibe inside is so amazing

You might have to wait hr or two, but it is definitely worth the wait
Their Mackerel is my favorite too.

They have small menu but have exactly what I need.

Always thank you guys, and will support this place 100%
Please dont change!!

I love the atmosphere here. It was like sitting in a cozy sushi bar in Tokyo. However the sushi taste is not my favorite. Scallop was too cold to be served. Sea urchin tasted creamy but the seaweed overwhelmed the flavor. Sweet shrimp was ok. If you like ankimo you have to ask, it is not in the menu but they have it.

Delicious, fresh and reasonably priced. You may have to wait to get in as they are so popular. Sushi is delicious and sashimi also great.

This is my go to spot whenever I want the best sushi. Went here on an August Saturday evening. Checked in at 7PM and the host said the wait was 1 hour. Two hours later we were finally seated. I always order the yellow tail sashimi, spicy tuna roll and the soft shell crab roll. I tried the scallop sushi this time and it was amazing sweet. A must try spot whenever you go to Little Tokyo
