EXCELLENT FOOD AND SERVICE. My husband and I came here to celebrate our anniversary while we were visiting Sea Island. A couple we met suggested this place and we are so glad they did. The menu is diverse but there is plenty of seafood to choose from, along with daily specials, which is what we had. I had the citrus mahi-mahi with risotto and my husband had the halibut with bucatini in a pesto sauce. Both were delicious. (Large portions too.) We also started with the blue crab soup, which was terrific and could be a meal with the bread service because it was so filling. The place is upscale but not too fancy. We sat outside, which is covered. Chelsea our server was so friendly and attentive. We would definitely come back. It was about a 10-minute drive from the Sea Island resort. Plenty of parking available.

I was so excited to come here, but the food wasn’t as good as I expected based on what I’d heard from others. We had the raw oysters. The first one was delicious, but the rest didn’t have any liquid in them and were a little dried out. I ordered the sea bass with risotto. The fish was cooked nicely, but under seasoned. The risotto was awful–the rice was crunchy! We also ordered the flourless chocolate cake, which was decadent. I wish there had been more berries! Overall, hit or miss. I will go back, but maybe only stick to drinks and appetizers. It wasn’t worth the price.

Our entire evening at Halyard’s was phenomenal! We were welcomed with true southern hospitality, amazing customer service, absolutely delicious food. We started out with Brussels sprouts and wedge salad which were fabulous. The main course of lamb chops w/ seared tomatoes and scallions and shrimp & grits. Both were out of this world! We wrapped up the experience with banana pudding and cappuccino. Thank you to the entire Halyard’s team for delivering with excellence once again. Halyard’s is a must every time we visit St. Simons.

Good restaurant in total. I had the grits and they were exceptional totally disagree with Emily Howard they were very flavorful and came to me scorching hot. My brother got the sweet tea fried chicken which was spicy it was very flavorful. The only thing I disliked was the appentizers. We got crabcake, calamari, snd salad all wasn’t very tasty.

This restaurant was overall disappointing. At first I was excited to try it as it has 4.6 stars but after eating it I do not understand this rating. The food was not great and the service was not up to par. I ordered the shrimp and grits which were very mediocre. The grits had too many big flavors trying to stand out. Additionally, in the grits were celery and jalapeños. The menu does that state that the grits contain these ingredients and therefore I was startled when I shoved a mouthful of jalapeños in my mouth. Now the service. The waiter took our plates before everyone in my party was done eating. All waiters should know to not take part in this terrible habit. I do not recommend and would not go back.

Fine restaurant for the most part. Ordered the Shrimp and Grits which were some of the best I’ve had. Would not recommend any of the appetizers. I ordered the salad and calamari. Both had no flavor. Overall, the restaurant was decent, but would not go out of my way to Halyards.

Beautiful presentation, unfortunately the entire party complained that the food was warm not hot. We decided to eat it warm because we had five in our party and we did not want to wait any longer. The food was tasty. The Brussels Sprouts and the calamari, definitely a hit. Our server Gina was amazing. So, shout out to Gina. Next time we are in the area we will return to this restaurant. We will definitely mention to make sure our food is hot

Extremely wonderful experience! Service was fabulous. Food was even better. Tied for my favorite meal while visiting St. Simons. We brought our freshly caught flounder and they cooked to perfection! Appetizers, soup, entree, dessert and wine were fabulous! Highly recommend!

Reservations for anniversary on New Year’s Eve. Sat at a high top table next to bar serving station. Waiter dropped. Off each course without any interaction . Champagne was offered as included with meal for New Years package but we were charged 22.00 dollars extra . Waiter said his New Year’s resolution was to work at same restaurant for 1 year . Meal with 2 drinks was 300 dollars . What a disappointment !! Left hungry and food average

Had some Shrimp and Grits from the festival and it was probably some of the worst I’ve ever tasted. I had such high hopes based on the description on the sign. For $16 I expected double than what was in the sampler but that also was not the case. The shrimp were a good size but lacked ANY flavor, and the grits were the worst thing I’ve tasted. They were watered down and literally had none of the things they stated they were supposed to in them. Think watery grit soup without salt even. We also had the brisket sandwich which wasn’t as terrible as the shrimp and grits but that was the entire reason we went to the festival. Very disappointed.
