Sat outside for dinner. Pleasant evening, w great service. Food was excellent. Served hot and with great flavor. Gluten free options, fried chicken, buns. And the fries! Top notch! If you like Alchemist Brewery, Heddy Toppers available.

It’s a lot larger than what its looks like from the outside. The service is good, they are quite busy during lunch and servers and staff are literally running around quite a bit, our table seemed to feel very close to all the action, it was amusing :). Food was good, nothing that wows you, average Vermont lunch food, if you are out and about in Church Street, its a possible stop on the way. Plenty of parking around within a few minutes walk. Laid back atmosphere, few brunch specials, fresh ingredients, overall its an okay place.

Went out to dinner here on Friday night with some friends. The food was great, service was solid and the bill was affordable. This is one of the best bang for your Buck on Church Street!
Still family owned I’m pretty sure as well. Been here many times, but it’s been years. Still holds up well! Great burger, fried chicken salad, and tacos.

Was not impressed with my order. Had a Blt sandwich. Bacon was way over cooked. Waitress said they get it precooked then cook it more to warm it up. Menu was very limited on food, but decent on drinks.

Had a Lovely Lunch at Halvorson’s today. We stumbled upon it walking through town and noticed that we wouldn’t need to wait an hour to eat here! It was about 15 minutes on the wait and we got seated outside as we were offered a choice. The staff was kind and service was prompt. The food was very good. We had 2 different types of turkey sandwiches and both were great. We also ordered a side salad, pickled beets and mushrooms and those were fantastic. Everything was great and no complaints to be found here. Enjoy!

Halverson’s continues to be my favorite go-to sit down lunch during the week. As a family owned business, they make you feel right at home with their lovely staff and hearty menu. My favorite is the clam chowder with a side of fries and their very yummy garlic mayo. I continue to recommend it to those walking through church street – it’s easily a staple of the culture and quality we love to see in Burlington.

My class had a reunion event in the back of the restaurant. It was a very nice place to be together in. Although the AC may need to be larger for the space.
The appetizers were delicious and the drinks reasonably priced. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating as well.

Im not one to write a review, but my last experience gave me the urge. We were seated very quickly witch was great but things took a turn vary quickly. We sat by the window and noticed three very large filth flys on the window. our waiter arrived was very kind so I’ll give the service a four. after we ordered the table next to us got their food and the most rancid smell of fried fish filled the air. Fish was one of the items we ordered so we got a little worried (different entree). After some conversation we get our food and the third strike happened. I ordered the steak tacos and was disappointed to see the two 17 dollar, Less than appetizing tacos on a plate with no sides. the steak was not good and the corn tortillas were not satisfying either. the Salomon was not exciting, and the side salad could use some work. overall atmosphere was concerning food was sup-par and service was acceptable. I will not be coming back.
