This is really great sushi at a fair price. Everything has always been fresh and they offer a nice selection of unique rolls. Good menu beyond sushi as well. The gyoza is great (and too much for one person), and spring rolls or tempura are great openers. Excellent atmosphere; you almost wouldn’t know it used to be a Wendy’s.

Very solid sushi restaurant. Definitely recommend as the prices are reasonable and the sushi is above average. The miso was passable but the sushi selection and again the absolutely lovely price point more than makes up for any sort of average performance from any of their other offerings. I truly recommend the vegetable roll! The sweet potatoes were crisp and we’ll cooked and the flavors we’re exceptional. The sake was also lovely and we’ll flavored and reasonably priced.

I can’t say enough about how much I love this place! We have frequented Halu Sushi since it opened, and it is one of my favorite restaurants in Denver. Their food quality and service are hard to beat!
For the people knocking a sushi place for their Chinese food or Udon, why are you going to a sushi restaurant? That is similar to going to a steak restaurant, but ordering chicken. My non-sushi friends have always enjoyed their Chinese food, which is handy since how many sushi places have other great offerings?

I love Halu Sushi! It’s our favorite sushi restaurant in Golden. The menu is varied and everything I have tried is delicious. The staff remembers you if you’re a regular which feels wonderful. During the spring and summer it’s lovely to sit on the patio. I would highly recommend!

Fantastic local Japanese Restaurant. Sushi Chefs are very experienced and the fish are super fresh. Their sashimi are nicely sliced, satisfying. Rolls are excellent as well. Top notch customer service, owner Marvin is super friendly. Recommended!!!

I’ve been going to Halu Sushi since it opened and I just realized that I should write a review! This place is the best around, and perhaps that’s putting it mildly. The sushi is excellent and meals (e.g, sweet and sour chicken) are always fresh with high quality ingredients. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the inside is great. You WILL NOT be disappointed.

Don’t be scared off by the unfortunate Wendy’s exterior – we almost left because of the “low-quality chain restaurant” vibe, but we decided to try it, and we’re so glad we did! The inside has a much better vibe. The food was great, and the service was good! I enjoyed everything I got except the tofu sushi roll.
