Perfect place for a hearty burger or a sandwich in a casual, vintage vibe.
We stopped by for Sunday brunch, and our table of four were seated right away. Service was fast, and our food came out hot. Everyone enjoyed their food.
I ordered the Charbroiled Chicken Sandwich which came with a side of fries. Sandwich was hearty and filling. Solid, fresh ingredients. Fries were crispy and hot.
I also ordered a cup of chili, but it was nothing special.

I ordered several items to try for takeout.
Southwest eggrolls:
in my opinion, needs beef instead of chicken, less beans, and thicker crust. Flavor was alright.
Mozzarella sticks: breading was too thin, marinara was good.
Buffalo chicken loaded mac n cheese:
Mac n cheese itself was creamy but needed salt/ lacked flavor. Toppings made it better . Definitely would get again.
Denver burger: cooked perfectly and delicious. No complaints at all.
Memphis two fister:
THE STAR OF THE SHOW! Burger was cooked perfectly. Topped with plenty pulled pork and delicious coleslaw. The sauce was delicious will definitely order extra on it next time.
The sides:
Potato salad: flavor was perfect but the texture showed that it was previously frozen.
Fries: delicious
Also would like to add the lady hostess was very welcoming and kind.

Horrible food. Absolutely horrible. Breadsticks that come out for appetizers taste like a plain funnel cake. The 12 oz New York Strip costs $25 for a reason. The chicken tenders were rubbery. After going to two other Don Hall’s restaurants that are amazing (Gas House and Tavern at Coventry), this one was beyond disappointing. Should have done more research on this one. Very surprised Don Hall’s puts their name behind this place. Will never recommend or return.

This place is great, BUT, we left a wallet here and have been trying to call for 2 weeks day and night to confirm it’s there and they always just pick up the phone and hang it up before answering. At least 20 calls have been hung up on. We just want to confirm it’s there before driving the 3 hours to go pick it up but NO ANSWER ever. We are from Indy and were travelling and don’t want to drive for no reason if they do not have it. Please stop hanging up on all your calls, this is unprofessional and gets you bad reviews Halls.

Ordered special of the day at 12pm which was Raspberry chicken, mashed potatoes and vegetable. Waited at window for a few minutes. Received order but didnt open until 20 minutes later when returned to work. Had chicken on top of bed of rice. Cooked broccoli as the other side dish. Called manager. She said menu had a typo and shouldve been rice not mash potatoes. She said carry out window should’ve stated that, but didnt. Chicken tasted like it had been sitting under warmer since the day before. Just very disappointed in a legend restaurant considering the specials change every day and it was only noon.

We picked up food from here and I was never so disappointed. We ordered the chicken Cobb salad which was very good but also we got the beef and noodles special. It seriously tasted like they opened the lid if the salt and dumped it all in. I have never had to throw something away because it was that salty but that is right where it went…in the garbage! It was $14.00 worth of waste!

I have been a very long time customer of Halls New Haven. We ordered dinner, takeout, of a buster platter with fries and coleslaw along with a fried chicken dinner with hashbrowns and coleslaw. Wanted to love the food, but was just not satisfied. :/
I ordered the Loaded Macaroni and Cheese with fries, and an appetizer of Onion Rings.
I never received my fries, my macaroni and cheese was cold and my onion rings were cold and soggy. I am assuming this was just because they had a lot of To-Go orders, but still I wish it was made correct.

Food was gross, service was poor. Steak under cooked and full of gristle, kids mac n cheese was over cooked and cold on a hot plate, mashed potatoes had hard chunks in them, burger was over cooked and wrong. Server was almost nonexistent. Just an over all bad experience. We went for my son’s 7th birthday. Mistake. Won’t be back.
